"Bye! I will really miss you all terribly." I state as I wrap my arms around Alpha James.

"You were great to have Renee, and you are always welcomed here. I am so proud of you. You turned out to be a better fighter than your future mum in law."

I gave him a smile and turned to Derek. "you lost our bet, which means you need to go and find your mate."

"I was clearly insane taking that bet with you, who knew a girl who doesn't drink would be so good at beer pong."

I chuckled, and turned to face Alec's car, a month or so ago, this was the moment our lives got hay why.

"How can you leave before saying goodbye to me?" Liam asks.

"I'm sorry Partner." I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him.
He returned the hug and rested his head in mine.

"You could stay R,"

"I can't even if I wanted to Liam,"

I gave him a sad smile, I could feel Alec burning daggers into my back and honestly I couldn't be less interested.

"Take this." Liam handed me a little frame that had the pictures we took through out this week, " I'll never forget you red."

I winked at him, " you couldn't even if you tried."

I walked away and to the open car door, I looked over at Alec who stood by his door.

"Only I get to call you red." He stayed before jumping into the car.

"Oh! Is that what Rojo means. Spanish was never my thing." I sat back and leaned my head back against the seat.

"I'm going to miss this place. It's a completely different life. If I stayed it would have been."

"Would you like to stay." He asks me, not taking his eyes of the road. I stayed quiet for a while. Really contemplating the answer.

"No, I have other responsibilities. If my circumstances change, maybe." I turned to look at his side profile as we drove past the same countryside.

"I head stories about Blizzard and Frostbite. They were a dynamic duo."

"That they still are- wait. Who would have been your partner , if you stayed?"

I smiled, this is definitely going to get a rise out of Alec. Maybe hopefully trigger his jealous side.

"Yup, Liam and I, we were even trying to book the name Silver and Mist. Cause Silver Mist sounds cool."

A second after the words left my mouth Alec swerved the car to the side of the road before slamming on the breaks.
From my open windows I could smell the scent of burning rubber.

He jumped out of the car, he took off his dark leather jacket and slammed it on the bonnet of the car before walking to my side, opening the door and pulling me out. He pushed me against the car and looked into my eyes. His green orbs darker than the moss underneath my feet.

"You know, we were in this same position a few months ago."

He didn't pay attention to my words but he did tighten the grip on my hands.

"You and Liam, what were you."

"Partners."

"When mum and aunt Cierra were partners they stayed in the same room."

"What are you asking me Alec?"

"Did you and him share a room?"

"Nope, that's we're Alpha James drew a line. I mean he told me to leave the idea of me being a royal and your mate at the airport. But I do feel giving Liam and I separate rooms was definitely special treatment."
