When the time came, I filled a small vial with a healing potion, and kissed Alina goodbye. I began heading to the forbidden forest.

Once I arrived, I saw Lupin. He was sitting on a trunk of an oak, writing in a small leather bound book.

"Professor, hello." I said, approaching.

"Ah, Y/N. Nice to see you in good spirits. How do you feel."

"Prepared, sir."

He stood, and clapped his hands together, "Wonderful news. So, shall we begin?"

I nodded, and placed my small bag on the trunk, and my wand within the bag.

He nodded, "Place your feet about a foot apart, and take a few deep breaths. I assume you know how to transform?"

"Yessir. Once I do, I'll be able to understand you, but not respond."

"Wow, you're that advanced? Interesting. Well then, go on."

I closed my eyes and focused, taking a deep breath in. I began the process, I had been fully transformed in less than a minute. I opened my eyes to find Lupin's slacks at eye level. I stretched out my wings and began to take off.

It was a wild sensation. To just be someone else. Well, something else. And to glide through a forest- better yet, a forbidden one- that was a separate feeling.

I slowly made my way up, through the trees. I wanted to have a better view of what was below. In the corner of my eye, I saw something move. I slowed myself down, and dipped closer to the branches. It was a shadowy figure, small in comparison to what I knew would lay in the forest. Almost the size of a human, maybe bigger.

I dipped a little deeper, and saw that it was a centaur. I flew back up, and began to head back towards Lupin, when I heard a cry in the forest. Once more, I heard it, and recognized it. It was a bird.

I once again made my way down, towards the trees, and saw a spider in the trees. Besides it, a nest, one with eggs. I immediately felt myself swoon down, claws first.

I made impact, and clawed the spider, swarming around him, in order to avoid his hits. I continued clawing, until able to blind him, and disoriented him. I quickly grabbed the nest in both talons, and began flying up. I heard him regain movement, but I focused on holding the nest and flying up as quickly as I could. It was a few dozen meters from Lupin, and once he saw me, he began waving.

I slowed down, and began trying to slowly land, something I hadn't practiced often. I began falling, flapping, falling, flapping- until I set the nest down.

"What are these? Birds?" Lupin asked. I cocked my head up twice, which he took as a 'yes'.

I landed fully, and began transforming back. Once I had, I took a deep breath.

"They were being attacked in the forest. A huge spider, and they... they're just kids. I had to save them."

"Y/N... did you fight something, as an animagus, in the forest?"

"I just blinded it."

He was baffled, "Wow."

I winced, "Ouch, my arm..." I look and saw blood form on sweater shirt, "Oh, I wounded myself. Ah, I have a healer potion." I dug into my pocket, pulled the vial out, and downed the potion in one. I felt the blood stop, and heal over.

"Wonderful job overall, but I'm afraid I do not know what you can do with these birds."

"I can take them. I mean, soon enough it'll be winter break and I can have them raised at my home, and until then they can be kept outside my dorm. I have an owl... I'm practically a bird."
