Y/N Priest is entering Hogwarts for the first time as a third year student. Her family is well known in the wizarding world, and her mother may be one of the most powerful witches to ever exist. The talent was passed on.
After she is sorted into Ra...
"You are the LEAST helpful person I know." I threw a dress at him.
"This is not an area of my expertise."
"Whether I look good or not isn't an expertise, Gus, it's an opinion."
"Of course you look good! You always look good!"
"But I mean do I look good in this outfit."
"You look fine in that outfit."
"See?" I pointed at him, "that is the non helpful behavior I'm talking about. 'Fine' isn't what I'm going for. Ugh, I'll just wear the pleated skirt."
"You act as if you have a reason to dress up. You and I are going to Hogsmeade for an afternoon. Oh, Y/N, are you trying to impress me?" I responded by throwing a bag at him.
"I'll wear the cream pleated skirt, the cream turtleneck and a brown sweatshirt. And if you make anymore commentary on it, I'll kill you." I spoke as I closed my closet, which was big enough for me to change in.
"What are we doing today?"
"Tea, much needed book shopping, and maybe clothes shopping."
"You and your clothes- you are so fortunate to be cute or else I would be genuinely annoyed."
"You are just asking to have shoes thrown at you."
"You wouldn't."
I stepped out of the closet, fully dressed, and he stopped for a moment.
"Damn girl. You look good."
"Thank you, now let's go. The train leaves soon."
We went out, and hopped on the train to Hogsmeade. It was a ten minute ride, which was largely uneventful other than a few too many stares from the gryffindor boys (most of which were guarded off by Gus putting an arm around me).
Once we got there, we headed for Madam Puddifoot's, where most couples found themselves. Although, we were just friends who loved tea.
Gus grabbed us a table while I ordered, "A london fog and a straight earl grey, both hot." I smiled.
Within a few moments, the tea arrived and Gus and I began to drink, "Well, I've been meaning to ask you, how do you feel about seeing Lucius tomorrow?"
I sighed, "I'm not sure. I'm nervous, of course. I'm totally sure what to wear or how to act."
"Just be yourself and wear something you're confident in. You have to go up against toxic masculinity, alpha male and narcissism all wrapped up in the package of Lucius."
I laughed at his statement, it was true.
After that, we headed for Tomes and Scrolls, a bookshop.
The storekeeper seemed to be a young man, our age or a tad older. I went up to the counter, and grabbed his attention, "Hello, I was wondering where I may find a poetry selection?"
He was dazed for a moment, but then smiled, "Follow down this path, and when you see a silver falcon statue, just look down and to the right."
I followed his instructions and was quite pleased with the selection, I grabbed half a dozen before realizing I had lost Gus.
"Gus!"
"Over here, darling!" I heard him shout from the back end of the shop. I made my way to him, and found him carrying a stack of books.
"Wow... I see you can't make your mind up."
"Oh, I have. This is what I'm getting," he chuckled.
"Lemme carry some."
He looked at me kindly, "I don't think you can handle more then what you've got."
"Yes I can, gimme!"
He placed two books onto my stack and proved himself correct; I could not carry it all. He laughed and picked the two back up, adding it to his pile once more. When we checked out, he insisted on paying for mine as well, which I thanked him for profusely.
"All I ask in return if for you to not spend too much time shopping."
We went to Gladrags, which in addition to a large and extensive sock collection, usually had a selection on dresses.
"I just want to find something I can wear to see Lucius. We're going to formal tea and- oh my, that's perfection."

I ran the dress through my fingers. "This would be perfect, I'm gonna try it on." I spoke as I took the hanger off, and went up to the stylist, "Hi, could I get a changing room?"
A few moments later, I came out to show Gus, "I mean, wow... You look too good for him, honestly," I laughed, "No, like seriously. Way too good."
I paid for the dress and we headed back to Hogwarts, "Thank you so much for this, Gus. I had so much fun."
"Of course, any time, Y/N." He smiled.
I rested my head onto his shoulder for the train ride home. It was quite nice.
