Zoe

The bell rang only seconds later, resulting in me running off. The only person in my next lesson out of the group was Caspar, and I sure as hell didn't want to talk to him. Instantly turning the corner, keeping my face down and hood up, my arm grew heavy. It didn't take me long to realise that the force keeping me there was from someone taking hold of my wrist.
"So your Zoe then?" Alfie said, carefully tugging my hood down, smiling at me.
"Why do you care?" I said, not looking up at him, he only chuckled at my comment.

"I dunno, Niomis a pretty cool girl and so Im guessing your a cool girl too!" He said pathetically.
I scoffed at him and said, "Well we've already been talking for less than a minute and Ive already given you a reason to hate me!"
"And that reason would be?" He said, shrugging but smiling sweetly.
"Well, Im pretty sure people don't quite enjoy when someone else is doing whatever they possibly can so get out a conversation with someone!" I said, smiling bitterly at him.
He chuckled yet again before saying, "Yes but you have already given me several reasons to like you as well!"
"Those reasons being?" I said, rolling my eyes. I seriously needed to get to class but no. Instead, I was here being held back by him... Not that it was the worst scenario I could imagine myself in.

"Well, you're cute," he said, gazing at me, "smart! You most definitely play hard to get! And you've got sass." He finished, winking at me.
I scoffed before chuckling out the words, "Yeah! Too much sass for you to handle! Anyway Deyes, Ive gotta go!" I rolled my eyes and loosened his grip from my arm.
"Why are your so desperate to get to class? You can stop playing hard to get, I already like you! Geez!" He rolled his eyes and folded him arms.
I took no care with his words, not actually hearing what he said, but hen I repeated his sentence in my head and froze up. I already like you! Geez!
"Di-did you just say you like me?" I said, trying to hide my smile but it somehow broke through. Before the blushing boy could reply, the bell blared loudly. "Oh God! I can't be late... Um... Sorry...." I said, quickly looking around.
"Fine! Meet me here at lunchtime!" He said, winking at me before casually strolling off to his lesson. Meanwhile, I ran as quickly as I could, so fast that my legs and brain almost weren't co-operating with each other.

"SorryImLateMiss!" I breathed out, all as one word, the second I stepped into he classroom. I was completely out of breath after running to class and had forgotten my inhaler, which I often did. I hadn't been diagnosed as asthmatic but I was given an inhaler to help my breathing.
I quickly ran to my seat, not really focusing very well. In fact, my focus was pretty off for the entire lesson, but Im pretty sure Miss didn't notice seeing as I was sat at the back.
Midway through the lesson, I was interrupted from daydreaming. "Zoe! Zoe! Zoe! Jesus woman are you deaf? Zoe! Guess so!" Marcus said, rolling his eyes. I turned to face him sternly, saying, "What do you want Marcus?"
"Well someone's grouchy! Anyway, enough with your depressing sob stories, what's going on with you and Alfie!" He said. In primary school, last time I began hanging out with their crowd, Marcus told me to back off or else I would make my life a living hell. Put it this way, Ive never spoken to him again since then up until now.

"Me and Alfie? Nothing!" I said, scoffing. Well, technically I was lying but... That's not nesisiecarly the story Alfie would tell.
"Oh really? Then what's this about him face timing you and Niomi? And what was that earlier? When we told him he was staring at you, he claimed that it 'wasn't his fault'" Marcus scoffed and I rolled my eyes.
"Grow up Marcus. Him and Niomi are friends, I just happened to be there when Alfie decided to FaceTime her, Alfie didn't know who I was, when he finally recognised me... I dunno!" I said, making sure it didn't slip that Alfie called me "cute."
Marcus laughed loudly, so loudly that the teacher turned around briefly to scold him, before he said, "Yeah Okay, now the truth?"
Luckily, the lesson was coming to an end, so as I was about to answer nervously, the teacher yelled for us to begin packing up. I grinned at Marcus before standing up and taking my book to the cupboard.
A small grin grew on Marcus's face which made me slightly suspicious, but it only became worse when he walked over to the teacher and mumbled something that I didn't hear. "Zoe Sugg you can stay behind class for 10 minutes!" The teacher yelled, glaring at me. I could see Marcus chuckling behind her.
"Miss, Marcus was blackmailing me!" I said, smiling at Marcus whilst his face also fell.
"Well in that case Mr Butler, I guess you'll be staying back for 10 minutes as well!" Marcus glared at me before sitting back down in his seat. I did the same, flopping down next to him.

"Pfft, and you wonder why no one likes you!" He said, scoffing.
"Oh whatever 'Butler' atleast I don't sound like someone's slave!" I chuckled, whilst he rolled his eyes.
"Whatever Sulky Sugg!" He said, chuckling to himself as well. He was so immature. "Aw, Poor Little Zoe doesn't like Marcus does she? Well do you want to know a secret?" He said, before whispering the words, "Me and Alfie are just the same, don't like me? Im sure as hell you won't like him!" He leaned back in his chair without making eye contact and staying silent for the rest of the short detention.

Okay, I'll admit, Alfie's cute, and seems like he can be nice. His eyes are dreamy, along with his voice, and his body is sure as hell intriguing! I guess. You could say, I did kind of like him, but Marcus was right. Marcus and Alfie are 2 of a kind. Stuck up, sarcastic, two faced bullies who will be as mean as they have to to get a laugh. And that's why I don't want to get close to Alfie.
