Who is She? [Zalfie]

I took a deep breath and felt as though I was shaking as I walked through the gates with Alfie by my side. After what Kate had told me, I knew I needed to talk to Finn, but what would I say?

"... Tanya's Party is gonna... Fucking maths test... Me and Marcus made up ... Zoe?" I wasn't paying attention to what Alfie was saying, caught up in a haze but once he had stopped walking and was continuously repeating my name, i began to pay attention.

"Sorry, I just..." I stopped myself, I couldn't tell Alfie this. "I feel dizzy, do you have some water?"

Alfie looked as though he was thinking hard before he smiled and kissed my temple saying, "I'll get you one, I'll be right back."

I smiled at him, watching him walk away and taking this as my chance to find Finn to have a chat alone. He wasn't with the usual group, although Jack was, and my blood began to boil at the sight of him. I managed to pull a fake smile as I walked over to them group.

"Um, Jack, is Finn in today? I was asked to give him the maths homework." I mumbled, making up my excuse on the spot.

He gave me a strange look for several seconds and if he had held that look for any longer, I swear I would have punched him. Jack shrugged and said, "He ran off, I think he wants to be alone, anyway, come join us!" Jack gave me a smile to which I didn't return.

"Well this is pretty important, I'll just go find him." I delivered a large fake smile before rushing off quickly in the opposite direction Alfie had previously gone in order to make sure I wouldn't bump into him.

It didn't take log to find Finn, considering I knew where he'd be. He was sat at our regular table, although t looked a lot more miserable whisky it was empty.

"Finn?" I mumbled, and when e looked up I saw a faint people bruise on his cheek.

"Oh hey Zoe." He said, pulling a clearly forced smile. I went and sat down next to him, my expression not changing form a straight face. "Is something wrong? You seem a li-"

"I know about Jack."

Finn froze up the second he heard his brothers name and he tensely said, "W-What about him?"

I lowered my voice as I said, "Kate told em everything... Finn it's okay." But the boy shook his head at my words and several tears streamed down his face.

"It's not okay though. I can handle it, but it's not fair on Kate..." Finn paused, "Its not fair on Jack... The more people who know, the more trouble he gets into, but it's not his fault..." Again Finn paused before lowering his voice and saying, "Its mine."

I wrapped an arm around Finn. "No, no it's not Finn! Don't you dare think that."

"I tormented him, I wound him up, I deserve this." I felt Finn gently rest his head in my shoulder and I sighed, not wanting to upset Finn further as I felt several tears fall into my shirt.

"Finn," I said in a calm voice, "This isn't your fault. Jack must be ill, he obviously loves you, and you have to understand that. But even so, this isn't right... You have to tell someone... If you go on like this it will into get worse for the both of you..." I paused before adding, "And Kate" knowing this would effect Finn more than anything.

It's sad really, Finn going through this. He's so selfless and caring, even putting Jack before him even now, after everything. He doesn't deserve this.

"Zoe, why do you stay with me? I'm pathetic and stupid and can't even stand up for myself against my own brother." Finn let out a forced laugh as he at up and looked at me.

"That's what friends do." I gave him and sympathetic smile and I saw him bod slightly, looking down.

Finn looked up moments later, and I felt his hand placed on my cheek. I furrowed my eyebrows and laughed slightly at he gesture, and even saw him smile slightly. What was going on?

I slowly saw Finn lean in, and froze for a minute, not fully responding what was going on. Finns lips were on mine for a split second before my senses came about and I managed to react, shuffling back and looking at him.

"Finn! I'm with Alfie!" Finn looked down as though he was ashamed with himself and I get bad considering I had just yelled.

I didn't lead him on did I?

"I-I'm sorry... It's just... You're the only one whose ever been fully there for me..."

I sighed and rubbed my forehead. "L-Look I've gotta go..." I mumbled, turning around and standing up before quickly rushing off, leaving Finn on his own yet again.

Next chapter is the last chapter of Who Is She! There'll then be an epilogue and a sequel and I think you guys are gonna hate me for he last chapter but love me for the sequel :)
