Zoe

I stepped out the door in skinny jeans and a hoodie, looking a completely mess, but Alfie still seemed to have a smile on his face. "Okay Alfie, do you want to tell me where we're going? We can't exactly show up uninvited to a party and no one plays football at this time and what else do you even do?"

Alfie have out a laugh before opening the door for me to get in his car. "All in good time Zoe." I rolled my eyes at his cheesy comment and stepping into his car, quickly buckling in my seatbelt.

As soon as he got in, he was quick to start the car and go at a fasts pace, which scared me a little but i wasn't going to say anything.

"Do you know what would be cool?" I said, looking at Alfie, who was focused on the road but glanced at me with furrowed eyebrows to show I should continue. "If you actually told em where we're going."

He laughed at me comment. "Then it wouldn't be a surprise!"

"I don't like surprises."

He shrugged and continued driving. I didn't quite recognise the road we were going down, but I knew it was leading to the edge of the city which confused me. We have school tomorrow and I need my full 8 hours of sleep.

I sighed with relief when Alfie finally pulled up, although the area seemed empty which made me anxious. "Alfie where are we?" I said, furrowing my eyebrows, but he had already stepped out the car.

My eyes lit up when I saw the view. Alfie, Alfie Deyes, had driven all this way to take me to the hill on the edge of the city, where you c an see just about everything.

"I thought we could watch the sunset together." He said, smiling and sitting down. I rolled my eyes and took a seat next to him, and he placed his hand in mine as I did.

"Okay, Alfie, this is defiantly not what you do for fun, so where's the catch." I was hoping he would reassure me that there is no catch but I instantly knew by the smile on his face, he was up to something.

"Okay, well for starters, you see that park over there. About 10 minutes after sundown, all the junkies meet there. I've come here atleast 4 times now to pelt water balloons at them and they've not caught me once."

"Alfie, I'm not going to drench innocent people with water."

"Who said its water?"

"Alfie, what are you talking about."

"Be quiet and watch the sunset... Princess."

He said the last word with a smirk, they type of smirk that reminded me why I hate people like him, but his hand over mine stopped me from getting up. Something about his touch made me feel safe.

I subconsciously leaned into his shoulder as the sun went down and he returned the favour by wrapping an arm around me. It was quiet and peacefully and in that moment I genuinely felt loved.

"And now, time to trash some junkies." He giggled, helping me stand up suddenly.

"Alfie, I'm not going to throw water balloons filled with who knows what at people I don't know." I said, shaking my head and crossing my arms.

"Well for starters, you do know them. They're the junkies from our school, and secondly it's water diluted paint." Alfie said, going to the trunk of his car.

I'm surprised the balloons didn't pop, although the container he had them in did somehow seem to keep them pretty safe and they were filled too much so they didn't seem too delicate.

"That doesn't make it better." I said, biting my lip.

"Oh come on, they just think they're tripping and laugh about it and tomorrow they won't remember a thing." I still shook my head, not trusting him entirely.

"Suit yourself" he said, before sending a water balloon flying in their direction, hitting a random branch in the tree above them, making drops of yellow begin to fall down over the people. Some of them began laughing, whilst others began freaking out.

"See, harmless." Alfie said with a smile, offering me a water balloon. "Oh come on, loosen up, what's the worst that could happen?"

I sighed, finally taking the balloon from him, and throwing it, although my aim was entirely off and it ended up hitting a wall, turning the bricks from Orange to green.

"Wow you suck." Alfie said laughing and putting another balloon in my hand before wrapping his hand around mine and helping me aim.

"What are you doing?" I said, flinching away from him.

"Helping with your aim, silly." He laughed, guiding my arm so as my water balloon shit directly through the air, landing in the same tree Alfie's did.

And that's how we spent the next half an hour making junkies think they were tripping with water balloons.

"That was fun." I giggled, blushing as I looked up at him.

"The night is young my love, get back in the car." He said, smiling gently.

"Oh no, where are we going now?" I said, my anxious feeling from earlier returning.

He just smiled and walked back to his car.

I was thinking of making their night out like Paper Towns but then realised Alfie only actually hates Marcus right now

... But the next chapter might remind you of paper towns...
