Walking into school, I sighed with a smile on my face before walking into the gates, soon turning to a confused expression when I couldn't see anyone from the regular group around.

This wasn't a normal thing.

I took out my phone, checking for any texts or calls, but pulled a confused expression what my notification bar was empty. I sighed and turned around, my eye instantly catching Kate running towards me. "Zoe help!" She yelled, pulling at my sleeve and dragging me along behind her.

When we reached what Kate was so worried about, even I was shocked. Finn was already weak from collapsing, so why were him and Jack now fighting?

"Jack! Finn!" I yelled, quickly pulling Finn away from Jack, he was violently hitting him in the back.

"Zoe, this is nothing to do with you and Kate so just leave." Jack said, straight into up and glaring at Finn behind me.

"Oh, because I'm obviously going to walk away and let you guys kill each other!" I said sarcastically before rolling my eyes and taking in note the damage Jack and Finn had done to each other. "What happened?"

"He started it!" Jack said, rolling his eyes and turning away. I rolled my eyes and looked at Finn who was only nervously staring at the ground.

"Finn?" I said, which made his head snap up quickly. His eyes widened when he looked behind me, and I guess he was looking at Jack.

"N-No it was my fault. I-I'm sorry, I gotten go." Finn said, trying to rush off but his was instantly stopped and quickly froze up when bumping into a teacher who definitely didn't look happy.

"All of you, follow me now!" He said, glaring at all of us before storming off down the path, all of us trudging behind. I made sure to stand between Jack and Finn, stopping any conflict that may occur.

I stared at my shoes, sat next to Kate outside the room Jack and Finn were in. We could hear several yells but couldn't make out the words.

Luckily Kate and I hadn't gotten into too much trouble, only having to have a lunchtime detention, considering we weren't the actual ones fighting. I don't understand why we even need a lunchtime detention. What did we even do?

Finn was the first to walk out the room, and we both stood up at the sight of him, b he just avoided eye contact and rushed away from us. Although he hardly looked at us, I could see the several tears streaming down his face. What happened?

Jack was soon to follow, and seemed a lot calmer, which was weird considering they would have gotten the same sanction. "What happened? Did he drop you in it?"

Jack sighed before saying, "We both got a Saturday detention,  which is stupid considering he started it, but whatever. And they're calling home. This is so stupid." He rolled his eyes before looking around. "Where is the prick anyway?"

Kate and I shrugged, almost in unison, which only seemed to make Jack angrier before he took a deep breath and said, "Whatever, okay cool, let's just go, yeah?"

We both nodded and followed Jack to our first classroom.

"Hey, where were you before school? I looked everywhere." Alfie said, wrapping his arms around my waist and leaning down to rest his head on my shoulder.

"Sorry, Jack and Finn were fighting and I was just helping out. I have a detention at lunchtime." I mumbled, burying my head in Alfie's neck and smiling contently. The past few days we had definitely grown closer.

"What? Why'd you get into trouble if you were helping?" He sounded confused and slightly concerned too, but he should know that it wasn't my fault.

"Mr Olivers must just really hate me I guess." I said, shrugging.

Alfie laughed, "We're both the same there then." I smiled and leant back, looking up at him. We both smilied at each other before the bell rang, making us both break away and groan.

"I'll see you... Wait, crap, I have football training tonight." Alfie, said, looking down and furrowing his eyebrows.

I quickly went over and kissed his cheek before saying, "It's fine, I'll just text you later, yeah?"

He smiled at me and nodded before we both headed off in opposite directions.
