[It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this?]

I unlocked the door to the house, breathing in the homey smell of cinnamon and apples. I walked in, removing my shoes and letting Niall pass by me. It had already been a couple days since and we had finally come home. As much as I loved Niall's home and his family, I was excited to come home, to sleep in my own bed and be in the comfort of just us three. Well, two.

Niall hasn't changed. Still on his phone and if he's not, he's playing with Via. As much as I love their bond, I had to admit, I missed Niall's attention. Not to sound selfish. Niall set Via's car seat where she still slept on the couch and went back to bring in his bag. I was quick to jog up the stairs and set Via's things in her nursery while I set my bag in our bedroom. I changed out of the jeans that I wore and slipped on some leggings, since we weren't going anywhere else from my knowledge. I kept on my sweater and tee and went back down the stairs. I went over to the couch, leaving Via in her car seat until she woke up again.

When Niall came back inside after grabbing the rest of the things and setting them down, he came and sat beside me and you guessed it, going on his phone. I grabbed my phone, checking the time before setting it down. "Is there anything specific you want for dinner?" I asked him, seeing that it was already almost our usual dinner time. Niall only shook his head, his fingers typing away on the screen.

"No, anything is fine. I'm not really that hungry, anyway." Him? Not hungry? Since when?

I sighed, nodding, "How about I order a pizza?"

"Yeah, that's fine." I nodded again, aware that he didn't see.

I ordered the pizza, staying in the kitchen and bringing up the messages with Yomara. She texted me a little while ago, but I hadn't replied, so that's what I did.

From Yomara: you home now?

To Yomara: Yeah, we're home

I let my thumb and pointer finger play with my bottom lip as I waited for her reply. I glanced up at Niall, finding him yawn while running a hand over his head while his face was still illuminated from his phone screen.

From Yomara: And how's the fam? The same?

I slightly nodded, bringing my hand back down to type the reply.

To Yomara: Yep

From Yomara: You and Via can come over if you two want, Em. There's always space here

To Yomara: It's alright. We still have to unpack and all, and pizza is on the way.

From Yomara: Whatever you say

I shut off my phone, placing it down and letting my head fall onto my arms. I didn't know exactly why, but I felt the biggest urge to cry, just to let out everything that I've had bottled up since all this crap started. It was like watching a game or something happen before you and you struggle to not cheer or do something because of it. Like if your friends are fighting and you're tempted to go and stop the fight, but you can't because you're not allowed to or someone is pulling you back. I hated this feeling. I was usually good with getting over these types of emotions, but when Via is constantly needing me, I can't and now I feel like I'm about to explode from stress.

Hearing the doorbell ring throughout the house, I grabbed my wallet, taking out the money and walked over to the door. I unlocked it, smiling to the delivery guy and paid. I thanked him while he gave a 'goodnight' and I closed the door, walking to the kitchen. I grabbed two paper plates and went over to the living room. "Niall, the pizza is here." I told him gently, not to wake Via.
