[Yeah, I played dumb but I always knew
That you'd talk to her, maybe did even worse
I kept quiet so I could keep you]

The next couple days were filled with me stressing over everything and stressing over trying to find a new job. With my glasses on, Via sleeping beside me, I was leaning against the headboard with my laptop in my lap. I let out an irritated sigh and closed the laptop. I couldn't stay here forever. I'd feel like I'm taking advantage of Harry and I'd hate for him to think that. So, here I was, trying to look for a new job. I would've taken anything at this point.

My phone began to ring beside me, the name made my stomach churn and my head already began to pound. I can tell him off? I sighed, putting down the laptop and standing up, going out of the room and down the hall. I went outside just as it was about to stop ringing and answered, sitting on the porch chair. "What, Niall."

"O-M-G, Emily you answered." Niall said in a slurred voice. I gripped the bridge of my nose, closing my eyes and already regretting answering.

"Niall, what do you want." I sighed.

"Well.. I just wanted to say that I MISS YOUUUU and.. and that I'm sorry."

"Sorry won't cut it." I replied, running my fingers through my hair.

"Why nooooot? We.. We should be together for.. for Via."

"Not when you can cheat on me again."

Niall was silent for a second before he spoke again. "Remember the time that I found out you were pregnant and I told you that I'd be there for you until the very end?"

     "What does this--"

"I meant it, you know." He said quietly. It suddenly sounded like he was sober. But. He wasn't.

"I meant it when I said I hated you." I said through gritted teeth.

     "You don't mean that--"

"Oh, yes I do." Niall stayed quiet again and I continued. "Did you know that when we were together, I loved you at your best, your worst, I loved you, Niall. I did. But here's what I don't get. You told me that you were friends, right? You'd look at her like she was the light of your life. You'd laugh with her like we used to, but yet, I kept quiet so that you'd stick around, Niall. How is that fair?"

     "It's.. It's not."

"Exactly. I know that you feel guilty because I'm not like every other girl that's gonna try and do anything to keep Niall Fucking Horan in the picture. You betrayed me. You cheated on me after we swore we were done with that and went behind my back and went with Ms Stacey in my own house, under the same roof as your daughter. You'll never feel sorry for the way I hurt."

     "Emily--"

"You're a traitor, Niall Horan. Don't try talking to me unless it involves Via because other than that, I'm done. You remember all the times I brought her up and then you yelled at me saying that I was paranoid? We are done. For good."

"Emily, please don't do this. I need you."

"I wish you would've thought that through before I went and fell in love with you."

---

"You did good, Em." Harry said when I came back inside.

     I nodded, "Yeah.."

     "You need anything?"

"I think I need to go home, H. Home home."

Harry nodded, agreeing with me before coming up to me and wrapping me in a hug. "You deserve it, love."
