Chapter 117: Song For No One.

      "Whew. Just as cold as I remember." I said, shivering slightly, hugging Via close to me from the brace I wore on my front. 

      "Heh. Nothing has changed." Niall joked, closing the door of the car and picking up the diaper bag, deciding that we would just get our stuff later. Since Niall and I moved in together, he's sold the small home he has here and his mom offered us to stay at her place until we go back to LA. Which I found so helpful. 

      "Ready to meet your Gramma, baby?" I asked her quietly, kissing the top of her beanie covered head. I bounced on my feet a little as Niall made sure we had everything we would need for now, which was surprisingly a lot for just one baby. "Got it all, Ni?" I asked with a chuckle. 

      He nodded, "Sure do, pet. Let's go." He smiled, grabbing my hand with his free one as we went up to the door. Niall knocked before opening the door. "Hello? Mum?" He called out. 

      "Niall? You're here already?" Maura's small figure smiled as she saw us and was quick to greet Niall and I. "Aw, I'm so glad you two are here! Three, I should say! Oh my... This is the famous Olivia?" I chuckled, moving to the side slightly to show Via to Maura. 

      "Here she is." I smiled. 

      "Alright, while you two get settled, let me get myself cleaned up." Maura says with a smile and walking off to do her task. With Niall's help, we get Via out from the brace thing and it off by body. Niall held her while I carefully removed her jacket. Niall kissed her cheek while we walked further into the house and to the living room where Maura was setting down tea and cookies. "Oh, would you look at that. She looks just like Niall." Maura says, getting Via from Niall and cradling her in her arms. I smiled and sat next to Niall on the opposite couch. "Wow. She's beautiful." Maura compliments. "Can't believe Niall was part of this." She jokes, looking up at us. Niall's jaw drops and he looks at his mom in disbelief. I laughed with Maura and sighed, watching Via. Her eyes were wide open, staring up at Maura while she sucked on her pacifier and her hand on her cheek.

      I don't know what it was, maybe it was like this with every mother, but the very first time I held her, it was like and instant love. One of those that everyone wishes for but only got in books. It was like a reality check that I was experiencing this and I was experiencing it with her. I don't know if that makes sense, but moral of the story, I loved her with everything in me the second I held her. 

      "You alright?" Niall nudged me a little. I looked up at him, nodding with a small smile. 

      "Just thinking about how happy I am." Niall smiled a little, kissing my temple quickly before I sighed.

      "What was your family's reaction to you telling them you were having Via?" Maura asked while Dennise and I were helping make dinner. 

      "They were surprised. Very, because I had an accident in senior year and was told that I wouldn't have kids. And now, here I am with Via." I chuckled. Maura smiled, "Niall says that it's because the universe loves us so much that they let me have a baby." I laughed. 

      "Well, how could they not? You two are literally the number one couple." Dennise laughs. Maura and I joined in and I continued to cut the veggies. 

      "Well, I wouldn't say that. Have you seen Gigi and Zayn? They're too cute." I joked. Dennise laughs even more and sighs. 

      "Who would think that Niall would be barely having his first kid at 27?" 

      I shrugged, "He's getting old, that's the problem." I laughed, pouring the cut veggies into the pan that Maura had with the other things. Maura laughed at my comment. 

      "I'm afraid that we'll have to buy him a cane already." I laughed and responded to Dennise's question. 

      "How old are you?" 

      "Right now? I'm 22." 

      "For you too, love." Maura comments. Dennise laughed as I shook my head. 

      I walk out to see what the boys -and girl- are doing with my arms crossed. I frowned when I saw Theo and Greg playing with Via while Niall sat off to the side typing away on his phone. "What's that about?" Dennise asks quietly, looking over my shoulder. 

      I shrug, "I don't know." 

      "Has he been like that before?" 

      I shook my head, "No."
