A/N- when alec was in a coma in 2X03 but make it sadder. It's also gonna be for a different reason so it's even sadder for you people who like jace. Dont worry, there will be some cute malec eventually in this book, eventually.

Magnus POV

I was sat there, drinking my fifth drink of the day, the warm liquid going down my throat. My phone lit up and I saw the contact flash across the screen. It was jace. He almost never called me. Unless alec was involved. I ignored it and continued drinking. Jace kept ringing and I eventually answered. "Hello," I said, slightly annoyed. "Magnus, you need to get here now," he said before screaming in pain. "Its Alec," he said. "I'll be there in five," I said before hanging up. I opened a portal to the institute and walked inside.

Izzy was there waiting for me. "What happened," I said, walking towards the infirmary. "He was attacked by a pack of demons, we managed to get them off him before they could kill him, but alec's in pretty bad shape," she said, walking beside me. I swallowed thickly as we approached the doors to the infirmary. A blood-curdling scream filled my senses. It was jace, which means alec was hurt. I walked inside and the sight brought tears to my eyes. Alec was lying there, unconscious. His face was covered in scratch marks and his chest was covered in sting wounds. I looked at jace, nothing was wrong with him but he was still screaming in pain, clawing at his abdomen, and at further inspection he was clawing at his parabati rune. Alec was slipping. I sat beside him and held his hand, trying to feel his strength. He was very weak. I stood up and started casting spells. He never woke up, but jace stopped screaming, so i assumed alec was getting better. I stopped the spells for a moment, knowing that he had been healed. I looked at him once more. He was still asleep. I started to get worried.

"What demon was it?" I asked izzy. She shrugged. "I don't know," she replied. "But, they knocked him down really hard," she continued. "This could be bad," I said. Izzys face dropped. "What do you mean?" She said. "Hes suffered mundane injuries, which by the looks of it would be a head injury of some kind, he has to be unconscious to heal, I'm not sure when he'll wake up, or if he even will. But hes not feeling any pain, as we can see by jace," I said, fiddling with my hands. "Every warlock's magic has limitations, even mine, this is just one of them," I said. Izzy started crying. "You can choose where he shall stay until he wakes up, text me when and where," I said before walking out.

"Magnus wait," jace said, running after me. I turned around to face him. "He should stay at yours, since he basically lives there," he said, smiling at me, though it didnt quite reach his eyes. I smiled back. "A portal will be ready in the morning," I said. He started walking away. "One more thing," I said quickly. "Speak to him, more positively than negatively, I'm not sure if he can hear you, but if he can it will probably help a great deal," I explained. He nodded and walked away. I walked away too, tears threatening to spill. How could this have happened to alec, my alec. He was strong, he could get through this. I went to my apartment and sorted out the place, ready for alecs return.
