TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE, SELF HWRM, MENTIONS OF RAPE, MENTIONS OF VIOLENCE, MENTIONS OF SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

They both stood up immediately. They left the room and went to the source of the scream. They both ran down the long hallway and stopped at Alec's door. It was wide open. Jace was sat next to Alec, who was unconscious on the floor with blood spilling from his chest. Simon walked past them, unable to control his urges. Magnus was standing above Alec, waking his hands around trying to heal him. "No, no, no no no!" Izzy screamed once she saw the situation. Clary tried to pull her away from the doorway but didn't succeed. Alec gasped and sat up as Magnus fell to the floor. He turned around to face Jace, who was now sobbing, and hugged him. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," he kept saying. Jace ignored him and just continued crying. They broke apart from each other eventually and he turned to Magnus, who was sat up with an angry expression on his face. "You bastard, why would you do that!" Magnus yelled at him. "Because! There's no point in living if my assaulter is dead! None of us get to watch him get what he deserves because he's fucking dead!" He yelled back. "Alec, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean for this to happen," Izzy said. "Can everyone leave, please?" Alec said, almost yelled. "I don't think that's a good idea, buddy," Jace said. "Did you not hear me? I said leave!" He yelled. Everyone slowly nodded and left. Jace and Simon sat outside the door. "I could feel it happen, Simon, I could feel him stab himself, it was terrifying," she could hear jace say. They got back to their room silently. Clary continued into the living room whilst Izzy just stood by the door, paralysed with guilt and fear. She could've killed her brother. The realisation crashed on her and she slid down the door, crying. There was yelling from the other end of the hall and Izzy just knew it was Alec and Magnus. Clary came around the corner to see her crying. "Oh baba," she said and sat down next to her. "I could've killed him, he could've been dead because of me," Izzy said through sobs. "Robert did a lot of bad things to Alec, and the thought of not getting what he deserved probably made him very upset, and that's a normal reaction, it's not your fault," Clary said, moving some hair away from her face. The yelling increased and there was a large bang of a door opening and closing. "I don't think Magnus took it that well," Clary said. There was a knock at their door and Clary answered it. "We need your help," Jace said, pointing to Clary. "Alec is in the training room breaking his fingers, you're probably the only one he'll talk to," Simon said. "I'll come with you," Izzy said. Clary picked up her jacket and left, Izzy following close behind. Clary walked into the training room whilst Izzy stood around the corner. The usually black punching bag was covered in red. "Alec!" Clary yelled. "What?" He replied, still punching. "Can you stop for a second so I can talk to you," Clary said. He groaned and rested his palms against the bag. "What are you doing?" Clary said. Jace and Simon had arrived at this point, standing on the other side of the doorway. "Well, what does it look like," he replied. "No, what are you doing with your life, this whole situation has taken over everything that should be a priority, you're careless," Clary said. "I promised him, I promised Jace, I promised Izzy, I promised Magnus. I promised them all that I would never do that, and guess what? I did," he said. "I know what he did to you wasn't the best, but remember what you said to me when I told you about the owl?" She said. He nodded. "I would've done the same thing," he said. "Exactly, and honestly, if magnus, or jacs, or izzy, or even me were in your shoes, i would've done the exact same thing, being told that the person who causes you so much pain isn't getting what he deserves is one of the worst things you could possibly hear, it was the same for all of us, and I understand why you did it," Clary said. Alec looked up from the floor. "Only we know our stories, only we know the pain we feel, someone in this world probably thinks we're lying for attention, but we aren't, and it doesn't matter if they are yelling in our faces or whispering behind our backs, they can't change how we feel, and it's very rare that you find someone who can do that, like with me, it doesn't matter what Izzy does, I'm always going to feel like this, but she just makes it that tiny bit better, it's the same with Magnus, and Jace," Clary said. Izzy could see the tears building in his eyes. "Magnus is that person for you," she said, putting her hands on his forearms. "Your right, I'm so sorry," he said. "Don't apologise to me, you know what you have to do now," she said. He nodded. "Go, save your relationship," she said, nodding to the door. He smiled at her. "Thank you so much," he said before running out and into the living quarters. Clary smiled before walking out as well. "My job is done," she said.
