TEOGGER WARNING: MENTIONS OF EATINF DISORDERS AND SUICIDAL THOUGHTS

Izzy woke up that morning and got dressed. She had to go to work today, or the Clave would suspend her for good. She'd had many withdrawals before so she knew how to hide it. She left Clary’s medication on the counter and left for the report center for Alec's briefing. "Demon attack in South East. Jace and Izzy will take that one. Rogue vampire in Brooklyn. Andrew and Rajj. Everyone else on patrol, may the Angel be with you," he said. Izzy went to go get her whip from the weapons room. Jace was sharpening his sword when she got there. "You shouldn't be here," Izzy said, wrapping a thigh holster to her leg. "I need to do my job, don't I? I don't get the luxury of taking a month off," he said. "You could just say you're sick, I can take the mission on my own," she said. "You're weaker now, you're going through your fourth withdrawal, and you haven't slept in days," Jace said. She didn't know how he knew the last part. "And you just lost your husband, either you tell Alec, or i'll do it myself," she said. He sighed and left angrily. She clipped on the rest of her gear and headed out.

The south east was a busy part, there were usually lots of demons there. She approached the coordinates Alec had sent her. She started examining the place for demons. "Looking for something," someone had said behind her. She turned around to see her son, a face she hadn't seen in 3 years. "What are you doing here," izzy whispered. She blinked rapidly, desperate to get rid of the face. When she opened her eyes again, the person had changed to Alec. "Well you see, little sister, you can't face these demons, you're weak," he said. "Give up already," Jace said. The person changed to Clary. "You can't do it, just stop," she said. Izzy closed her eyes and when she opened them again, they were all gone. "Izzy, do you copy?" Alec said through the Seelie ring he had given her. "Yeah, fine," she replied. She turned the corner to find a demon nest. She uncoiled her whip and started slaying the demons. Voices echoed in the back of her head but she ignored them for now.

She arrived home pretty much unharmed. There was the odd scratch or two but she was fine. "Hey baba," Clary said as she walked in. "Hey," Izzy said, taking off her boots and coming over to give Clary a quick kiss. "I thought you called in sick," Clary said. "I did, but the Clave denied it. With the amount of days I've had off in the past few years, they would clear me unreliable and wouldn't let me fight anymore," she replied, taking off her gear. "Did you take your meds?" Izzy asked. Clary nodded. "All of them?" Izzy continued. Clary nodded again. "Good," Izzy replied. "There's some snacks in the fridge if you want something," Clary said, making herself a cup of water. "Not hungry, i'll have something later," she said. Clary nodded. "Are you sure you're okay?" Clary asked, panic rising in her voice. "Now that I'm here with you, yes," she replied. Clary smiled, though Izzy could still see the worry in her features. "I'm fine, okay, everythings fine," Izzy said with a slight chuckle.

Clary was able to get back to field duty pretty soon, she was almost fully healed, being a shadowhunter and everything. Clary was sent on a mission before Izzy, as Clary had called in and said that she was ill. "I swear to god if I have to see you in a hospital again I will murder someone," she said before Clary went out. "What are you still doing here," a voice at the back of her head said, it sounded like her mother. "Stop," she pleaded. "Go hang yourself," another said. It sounded like Alec. "Starve yourself," another said. It was Maia this time. "Please, please stop," Izzy pleaded again, dropping to her knees. It must've been loud because someone walked in and held her closely. "Shh, it's okay, I got you," someone said. She was pretty sure it was Jace. "Please, making it stop, please," she sobbed, grabbing his shirt tightly. He kept stroking her hair. "It will be over soon, I promise," Jace told her. She kept sobbing into his shoulder until her eyes were bright red and puffy.
