Jace POV

I was sat in the waiting room waiting for izzy to get back with the coffees. It had been a long day, but it was just like every other day for the past 6 days. Clary was coming with some clean clothes for us all, including magnus. He'd probably hate her for the outfit she chose. Clary came through the door with three plastic bags and some food. I only just realised how hungry I was, I hadn't eaten in days. I grabbed the things she was holding as izzy came back with the coffees. We all walked back together. It was a very tense walk, not knowing what would be there when we got back. It happened everytime and we avoided it as much as possible. We stopped outside his door as we did everyday, waiting to hear his voice, though we never could as the doors were sound proof. Simon came up behind us quietly. He had been on a work trip when I had called him a couple days ago, and he came back today. We all walked to alecs room. The tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife and make it bread. I opened the door quickly, not baring waiting another second. My eyes widened at the sight in front of me. There magnus sat, holding a crying alec in his arms. He didnt look the best, but he was alive, and that's all that matters. I put all the bags down and sat on the other side of the bed, simon following close behind. Clary and izzy sat next to magnus. We were all stunned as magnus was able to calm him down, none of us had been very successful with that. Alec eventually stopped crying and magnus adjusted the pillows behind him so he could sit up. I could feel the tears pricking my eyes as I looked at him. His face was pale and his cheeks were red. I looked down at his arms, blood soaked through the bandages and some beaded the area where the needles were. There was obviously some commotion before we came in here but it didnt matter. He was alive and well.

We were able to take him home after a couple days and we all decided he would stay with magnus, as magnus was his boyfriend and was the best at calming him down during a panic attack or mental breakdown.

Magnus POV

It had been a couple months since the incident. Alec had been doing alot better recently, though more panic attacks have been happening, he has been asking for help. I still kept the alcohol cupboard locked and the medication drawer emptied and moved to the private bathroom. I searched him daily for cuts and I searched our room and bathroom for any hidden blades. He and alec still haven't talked about what happened that day, they havent even mentioned it since they got back from the hospital.

"Alexander, we need to talk," I yelled, he came in from the other room. He sat down. "If you found a blade, it's not mine," he said. I saddened at the thought that that was his first thought but I ignored it. "We need to talk, about what happened that day," I said. His face dropped. "Magnus please, can we not do this now," he said, voice barely above a whisper. "We have to, angel, I need to know what happened so I can make sure it never happens again, so you never have to feel like that again," i said, a lump forming in my throat. He started getting mad. "You want to know, fine, I'll tell you. I slit my wrists because I was done with live. I took those pills because I was tired of fighting. I was done, I was fucking done," he yelled at me, his breathing became uneven. "Alec, you need to calm down-" I said but he cut me off. "I can't calm down, how the fuck am I supposed to calm down when I dint want to fucking be here," he said. I stayed silent. "You know what, I wish jace had never found me, life would be so much better for the both of us," he said. We both stayed silent for a while until he left the apartment. I texted jace telling him that alec would be over soon, as that's where he was most like going.
