A/N- if you want anyone to blame, blame my friend

TRIGGER WARNING: DEATH

Magnus POV

"Look, I have one more client to see, I promise I'll be home soon," he said into the phone. He heard Alec sigh on the other side. "Please be careful, i don't want any phonecalls saying that you died," he said. Magnus giggled. "I promise, I'll see you later, I love you," he said. "I love you too," Alec said and hung up. He got to the side if the road and looked both ways, checking for any cars. He looked left, nothing. He looked right, and giant lorry truck. His mind went to the incident that happened. He and Catarina were so happy.

"Hurry up Magnus," Catarina said, laughing. They were about fifteen. "Apologies, you know how much I value my time," he replied. They both laughed. They both stood at the edge of the road, waiting to cross. Magnus dragged her across the road. He was completely oblivious to the enormous lorry truck about to hit him. "Magnus! Watch out!" Catarina yelled before he felt a force on his shoulder, knocking him to the ground. He lifted his head and saw the truck looming over him. He raised an eyebrow as the driver got out of the car and over to someone in front. Magnus sat up and looked at the front of the car. There was blood all over it. He looked at the road and saw his best friend, still and unresponsive. He stood up and tried to walk over to Catarina but someone stopped him. "Stay there kiddo, you might be hurt too," an older man said. Soon, the ambulance arrived and took Magnus in. Just before they closed the doors, he saw the medical professionals pulling a white sheet over her dead body.

Magnus stepped out of his trance as he saw the truck honk us horn. His legs were stuck to the ground and he couldn't move. The impact hit him in moments, and he fell unconscious. The last thing he remembered was the driver coming out and calling an ambulance.

Alec POV

He was sitting at home, preparing a nice dinner for Magnus when he came home. He heard his phone ring from the other room. He put everything down and went into the living room. He picked up his phone. "Hello?" He said, walking back into the kitchen. "Alec?" Izzy said, clearly crying. "Izzy? Is everything okay?" Alec asked, setting down his things. "No... Magnus-" Izzy started to say but cut herself off. Alec heard her gag and throw up, it mustve been bad. "Izzy? What happened to Magnus?" He said. He had discarded the food and put on his jacket, ready to leave. "Dont come down, dude, its really bad," Jace said. "No, I have to see him, I have to, what happened to him," Alec asked frantically. Jace didn't answer him. "Jace, please," Alec begged. He heard Jace mutter something to Izzy and he started speaking. "He was hit, pretty badly, the driver was nearly speeding, dont come down here,  you wouldn't be able to cope," Jace said, but it was too late, Alec was in his car, driving down to the hospital. "Alec?" Jace said. "I'm coming down, I'm in my car," Alec said, starting it. Jace muttered something to Izzy. "Trust me, you don't want to, you heard what happened to Izzy, and she never throws up," he said. "Is he going to make the night?" Alec asked, pulling up at the hospital. "I'm not sure, they aren't allowed to tell us, I'm not even sure why they called us instead of you, but dude, seriously, don't do it, for your own good don't do it," Jace pleaded.

Alec hung up the phone and walked into the building. As soon as he got there, he was met with Clary and Simon. "Where us he?" He asked them. Simon directed him to the top floor. When the elevator opened, he was greeted by Maryse and Izzy. He pushed past them, walking nervously towards the waiting room outside a small door. Jace was sat on one of the chairs, tapping his foot nervously. "Alec you shouldn't be here-" Jace started. Alec shook his head. "Dont. He is my husband, I have a right to be here," Alec said. He walked over to the door and looked through the small glass panel. There was his husband, lying on a hospital bed. Blood soaked his hospital gown and the area around it. Alec looked away before his eyes moved up to his face, he couldn't looked at it. He sat down in one of the chairs with his knees pulled up against his chest. He sobbed into his knees, those sobs eventually becoming painful, heartbreaking screams. Screams of entire despair. Jace looked at him in sympathy. There was nothing else he could do. Maryse tried to hug her son, but stepped back when he pushed her away. He wanted to be alone. He wanted to sink into the ground right there. Never in his brothers life had Jace seen Alec like this, or even remotely close. It broke Alec inside to look up at his brother, eyes forming a sad, melancholy shape. He didn't like it. Not at all.

Eventually, the doctor came out. "Mr Bane will be okay, but he had severe internal bleeding and will need to be kept here for a couple of days, perhaps weeks if it gets worse," she said. Alec nodded and walked inside Magnus' room. His heart sunk when he had the same blood-covered hospital gown on. He sat next to Magnus as he started to stir. "Morning sunshine," Alec joked, though it pained him. "I killed her," was the first thing Magnus said. Alec looked confused. "Who?" He asked. Magnus shook his head. "She was so pale, so bloody, and it was all my fault, I killed her," magnus said. "You didn't kill anybody, okay? Your fine," Alec said. "I killed her," Magnus kept repeating. Alec had to step outside to recollect himself. "Dude, you should probably get some overnight stuff," Jace said as soon as he saw him. Alec shook his head yet again. "I'm fine, ill sleep in this, I'm not leaving him," Alec said, running his hand through his hair. "No, your going to go home, pack a couple things, and come back here to your husband, do you here me?" Izzy said, walking behind Jace. He gave in and got to his car. He drove home and packed a couple things.
