A/N- there is no sadness in this chapter, just pure, wholesome clizzy content
It was that weekend that Izzy finally got treatment. She went down to the cell rooms very early in the morning. She planned to go without Clary, so she wouldn't see Clarys distraught face before she left, but the redhead was already there. They both looked at each other. "I promise, I'll be back before the trial, looking better than ever, okay?" She said to Clary. Clary nodded. "I love you, okay? Don't forget that," she said. "I love you too, baba," Clary said. Izzy kissed her quickly before standing in front of the portal. She wanted to lighten up the mood. "Well, it's been great, love this institute, if I come back stripped of runes, you have to be nice to me," she said, pointing to Alec. Alec chuckled slightly. She turned around and bowed. This could be her final performance as a shadowhunter, she wanted it to be special. Clary chuckled a watery laugh. "Silent City, here I come," she said and stepped into the portal.
She stuck to her promise. She came back a couple days before the trial. Clary didn't know when she was coming back and she wanted to surprise her. Alec, Jace and Simon had dragged Clary into the training room whilst Magnus waited for Izzy at the portal. Izzy arrived after a couple minutes of waiting and they both stood outside of the training room. Jace placed a mundane camera whilst Clary’s back was turned. Apparently it was to keep the memory, but she didn't really care. Simon turned on the stereo to songs both Izzy and Clary loved. "This is so sweet," she whispered to Magnus. He nodded his head. As 'Thinking Out Loud Played', Simon started speaking. "We wanted to thank you, for everything you've done for us over the years," he said. Clary tilted her head. "Thank you for giving me someone I can talk to that isn't my husband," Alec said. "Thank you for giving me someone who can tell what I'm feeling just by looking at me," Jace said. Magnus walked in. "Thank you for giving me a girl I love almost like a daughter," he said. Izzy's heart melted at the kind words they were saying. "Thank you for giving me a best friend that can be both a shadowhunter, and the queen of the nerds," Simon said. Izzy chuckled. Jace made the small hand gesture to tell her to come in. She walked in. "Thank you for giving me a beautiful, gorgeous wife," Izzy said. Clary turned around so quickly she probably got whiplash. "Thank you for giving me a reason to live," she said, holding out her arms. Clary stood up from her chair and ran towards her. Sue practically jumped on Izzy, her legs wrapping around her waist. "I missed you too," she chuckled. "Your home, by the angel your home," Clary said. "I told you I'd be back before the trial," Izzy said. "How did it go? Did they cure you?" Alec asked from behind them. She put Clary down and straightened out her skirt. "Yes, they did, all went well. I no longer have to worry about cravings for eating, they sorted me out good," she said. Alec sighed a breath of relief. After a couple minutes of catching up, they went back to their room. "How have you been?" Izzy asked Clary. "It's been quite lonely, without you, but your back now, that's all that matters," Clary replied. Izzy smiled at her.
A/N- as I typed 'Thinking Out Loud' , the song literally played, it was the weirdest thing
