"Jake stop you're hurting me!" Jake is currently twisting my hand over something he did.
"This is all your fault!"
"Shallo!" Ashton calls out, out of nowhere.
" Stop shouting. She'll wake up." I shushed him while trying to get away.
"It's your fault my baby will grow up without a father." Jake twisted my hand even more. He's inflicting so much pain on it.
"Jake stop!" I pulled out of his grip and ran. He runs after me but he's not catching up. My legs are slowly giving in. I'm trying to escape but I can't get away.
"Catch her Jake!" Megan shouts out of nowhere. I see Danny holding a baby in her hands. I start to cry at the sight.
I cry even more, I can't move my legs. The pain on my hand is unbearable.
"Shallo!" Ashton shouts again.
"Shallo!" I wake up breathing heavily. It was only a dream, yet it felt so real. I quickly unlock the tent and Ashton steps in.
"You were crying in your sleep. Are you alright?" Ashton asks nonchalantly. He clearly went ballistic. I rub my sleepy eyes and that's when I saw my hand bleeding again. The bandage has come off.
Jake was twisting my hand in my dream. He was hurting me. I can feel my breath fold. The walls of the tent slowly stifling me. I pull my knees just above my chest, trying to scratch the thought of Jake hurting me, out of my mind. Jake can never hurt me. It was a bad dream Shallo, only a bad dream.
Ashton's POV
"He was hurting me." She started curling into a ball.
"Who?" I walk up to her and hold her close slowly, afraid that she might push me away, but to my surprise, she leaned forward. Shallo has unlocked a new version of me that I'm unfamiliar with. I don't know what I'm feeling. It's a strange feeling. Is this what they call love?
"Jake. H-he twisted my hand." At this point I feel helpless. She looks so vulnerable. Not the tough Shallo I once met. I apply the cooling ointment and bandage her hand again.
"Shay-"
"I just wanna go home Ashton." She interrupts me, "I wanna leave."
I feel like this would be the best chance to leave this place. I don't know how my father would react if I show up unexpectedly. That is why I'm gonna go back home the next week. I need to speak to my father so that he can sign the contract right away.
I don't know why every time Shallo is going through stuff, it affects me in a way. I feel like I should keep her close. Since Jake died because of me, I should probably protect her. She would never accept my idea but it won't hurt her if she doesn't know.
I grab my phone and ringed Andre immediately.
Andre: I feel like you made a decision in a flurry.
Me: Andre, tell my father I'm gonna sign the contract Damn! I'll present her in a week's time.
Andre: Alright mate. But, would she agree to this?
Me: I don't know mate. But I hope she does. Just talk to your boss.
I hang up shortly before Andre could say anything that could possibly ruin the rest of my day. I peer at Shallo who is deep in her slumber.
Mom always told me dreams are made. I never really understood the meaning until now.
I call Marcelo to arrange a helicopter for us. I walk out of the tent to go and look for Simsa.
"Ashton, I cannot allow you to leave. Your father strictly spoke against it. I mean don't you intend to reach the climax of the boot camp? This is every youngster's dream." She attempts to convince me but I need to take Shallo away from here.
"Uhm, Simsa, I really appreciate your kind gesture. But it's really important that I leave as soon as possible." I stated nonchalantly. Telling her about my departure is a bad idea but leaving without her knowledge is far more worse.
She asks one of the drivers to take us back to the bungalows to get our stuff.
I see Shay exchanging a few words with her meanie of a friend before walking to the black pick up truck we are leaving with. I spot Andre and told him everything he has to do if my father calls. We make it to the bungalows and grabbed our stuff. The helicopter is parked a few meters away. Shay hasn't said anything. Her face is blank.

~○~ ~○~We make it to Shallo's place in a few hours.
"Are you just gonna stay here alone?"
"Yeah, uhm- I'll be fine." Shallo carries her luggage up the stairs with her left hand while I rest on the black sofa and closed my eyes slowly. I need to think of a way to stay in town without my father's knowledge. I snap my eyes open at the sound of her coming downstairs. She's holding Stew's black leash in her hand and her phone in the other.
"Here, I forgot this behind the day I gave your dog back."
Shallo's POV
"How about you keep it for now? I won't be going home anytime soon." I nod in agreement making my way to the kitchen. I've missed this place so much, it has been less than a week yet it feels like a month since I've been away.
I search for something for us to eat but there's nothing I want. I walk back to the sitting room. Ashton is watching TV. He reached for his luggage, pulling out his black boots and changing into them. He pushed his Air force Jordans aside.
"Can we go get something to eat?" Ashton says, his gaze averting from the Tv to me. I'm so starving I can't get a no from my mouth.
"Yeah, let me call a cab." I scroll through my contacts before he spoke up,
"No, my car will be here soon." Just then his car appears in front of my apartment. Ashton cocks his head before getting up. I quickly ran upstairs to get my purse. I come back, grabbed my phone and keys and joined Ashton. The stranger takes a cab while Ashton opens the door for me. We get in the car and drove off.
