"This one?"
"No. You've asked me that before." I'm getting annoyed with the snacks Danny is currently picking out. I can feel my legs giving in. I want to sit down. We still have to go to Realers to buy a few toiletries and maybe cosmetics.
"Can I go and sit in the cafe next door? I'm tired Danny." I whine leaning against one of the silver racks.
"I'm almost done Shallo. Which one is better?" She points out two bags of chips. I observe them quietly. I'm too exhausted to even differentiate between the flavours.
"They are the same." She pushes them in my face.
"No. Omg, Shay. This is Tomato flavour and this right here is Tomato and Chilli flavour. Bitch you need specs, jeez."
"I don't see the difference. Take them both." I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see Andre. He grins at me, I send him a warm smile.
"Hi Shallo." He excitedly greets me still smiling.
"Oh hey."
I look at Danny who was shuffling through the snacks. I look up Andre his eyebrows pulled together. I pat Danny's shoulder just as she looks up. She stares at Andre before sending him an awkward smile.
"H-hi." She stutters extending her hand to Andre. "Danny."
"Andre." He flirtatiously smirks shaking Danny's hand. What is going on here? "You two are acting like two people who uhm... Now you are trying to hide it but it's written all over your horny faces." They both look at me completely shocked at my outburst.
"What?" I shoot them a questionable look. Andre chuckles undeniably . Danny pulls her hand away.
"That was the exact look you gave Ashton when you bumped into him, almost kissing him. I took a pic and I'll keep it for 'couple of the year' Mag." She attacks me.
The scene is still freshly roaming in my mind. Andre clears his throat at the sound of it.
"That's a lie. That was an accident." I defend myself hoping Andre would brush it off but I'm sheepishly wrong. He keeps making funny expressions to vex me.
"You sound guilty." Andre joins in. Smirking.
I storm out of the store. Heading into the cafe next door. Mentally thanking him for giving me an excuse to flee from them. I find a seat in the corner. A beautiful slender lady comes up to me to take my order. I scan through the menu. My mouth waters at the Ice cream flavours I am suddenly craving for. I go for Cayenne chocolate.
The lady comes back with my ice cream and I thank her. I fish my phone from my tiny white handbag . I scroll through Twitter; My favourite App. I sense somebody's presence, signifying me to look up from my phone .
I bewildered my new enemy. Hot stuff- I mean Asston. I give him a blank stare. Why is he here? Just when I'm about to bless my tastebuds, he appears, my heart thumping against my chest. Do i fear him. I shouldn't. I stand not wanting to look at him. I don't even want the ice cream anymore. I stuff N$15.00 under the menu, walking out on him. He grips my arm so tight, I winced at the pain. I've only met this guy and he had already hurt me emotionally, now physically. Next is mentally, I won't risk that.
