I wake up from my slumber. Slowly opening my eyes. The sun shone through the silver linings, far in the sky. My head throbbing . Still tired. I don't move. I'm too comfortable to move. I just wanna lean on something which isn't the window. Something like a shoulder. Speaking of shoulder. I jerk back as snappily as possible hitting my already aching head against the window again. I wince at the slight pain accompanied by the excruciating headache. I peer over  at Ashton who is sound asleep while I suffer in silence.

I straighten up planning on how to attack this sleeping man beside me. I've had enough. He's made my life miserable these past days.

"Please think." I said to myself.

"Think of what?" Oh great. I had the best chance to exact my revenge and I screwed it up. I could've fed him jelly beans through his nostrils or spill water on him too. Bravo Shallo! I look up at him. He rubs his sleepy eyes.

"I wasn't talking to you!" I turn away from him. Rubbing my temples.

"Of course you were. We're the only ones here." He stated matter of factly.

"I talk to myself. Do you have a problem with that." I frown upon the bus coming to a sudden stop. People started flooding out. I pull out my bottle of water and drink my headache away. Did the headache go? No. But I feel much better. I scan my bestfriend in the midst of the crowd. I register her sitting in the backseat, next to Andre. He is resting his forearm on her shoulder. This bitch better update me.

I walk out of the bus just when I am forcefully pulled back. I balance myself over the passenger's seat. I stand upright so I can get a better view on who had the audacity to tug me ruthlessly.

"You thirsty whore." She starts and I just stand there with my eyes wide open, my mouth slightly open, waiting for her to finish. What have I done to this wall now? It's only a wall that can be plastered with that much make up. Her look really inspires me to keep it natural.

"If I were you I'd pick the right words. " Danny says coming from the back of the bus.

"And who the heck are you?" The girl looks at Danny from head to toes. Batting her long lashes, dramatically.

"Oh I'm Danny." Danny tells her snappily, mocking her actions.

"Well, Danny tell this bitch to get her stupid ugly ass out of my boyfriend's face." Danny clenches her fists. I quickly hold her back. It's my war let me fight it.

"Listen sweetheart. When a wall looks ugly, the owner covers it up with paint. And if you're talking about Ashton, it's him that is all over me. Your boyfriend sure has a thing for ugly girls." I said mentally patting my shoulder.

"What is going on here Maia?" Ashton's voice leaves an echo as he looks between his girlfriend and I. Did I tell you Ashton's voice is the only thing Jake didn't have.

"Ash, where were you? Can we go and sit down?" Oh,She's Maia. Okay. Maia asks leaning against his arm. This girl is short. As in sho-ort!!

"Why?" Ashton asks in an annoyed expression. Danny snorts before nugging me.

"I just wanna spend time with you." Maia concludes.

I look at Danny who was busy looking at the cute couple in front of us. Why are we even still here. I nug her signalling her to get off the bus.

"Shallo!!" I freeze asking myself why Ashton would call me.

"What?" I snap.

"Can I talk to you later?" Maybe I can use this against Maia.

"Of course!" I know I sound desperate but I want to see Maia's face. And it's exceptional. If looks could kill, I'd be six feet under. I get off the bus heading to the gas station to go and buy anything that isn't snacks.

Ashton's POV

I sit on whoever's seat this is. Maia plops down next to me.
I swear this girl is clingy. I think about Shallo's answer, puzzled. Why is she acting this way now? The last time I checked, she didn't even want to look at me, and now, she answered before I even asked.

"Ash, I'm talking to you." I realise Maia is sitting next to me. I fail to understand her. No matter how many times I push her away. She keeps coming back.

"What did you say?"

"I'm asking what you and that ugly girl are gonna talk about."

"First of all, she's not ugly. Secondly it has nothing to do with you, so worry not." I said nonchalantly. Slurping down my ice tea.

"Oh really?" She moves her hand down to my torso and I choke on my drink.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I move her hand away getting up from my seat.

I look at her one last time my brows pulled together before I perceived Shallo who stood a few feet away from us, with her friend next to her. Shallo looks confused and hurt at the same time.

"Did we disturb your little session?" Danny asks her face blank as she sips on what seems like a banana smoothie.

"N-no, I- I'm gonna go f-find Andre." I stutter pathetically, heading outside just when the bus driver started telling everyone to get back on the bus. Great timing.

Shallo's POV

Why do I feel funny. It's like how I felt everytime i found Jake with a female friend. Am I jealous? Why would I be jealous? I don't even like Ashton. I hate him. Someone you hate can't make you jealous, can they?

I see Danny talking to Andre again. That was fast. I go back to my seat. I quietly munch on my chicken nuggets, looking at people flooding onto the bus.

I lay my eyes on Ashton. Who was avoiding contact with me. Is he feeling guilty. What is going on?

He sits next to me. Not sparing me a glance. We are now 25 km away. I can't wait to step my feet into the salty water. I'm suddenly excited.

"Why are you smiling?" Ashton asks me. I didn't even know I was smiling.

"Why do you care?" I scroll through my phone.

"You are unbelievable."

"Unlike the guy who was gonna get jerked off in a pub-"

"It's not what it looked like." He interrupts me, looking at everything except me.

"You sound jealous." He muttered softly probably thinking that I wouldn't  hear him but I did. And chose to ignore it, as I face the window for a hundredth times today.
