It's been 3 days already. It's been one fight after the other between Ashton and I. Basically over anything. Sometimes we don't talk at all. Danny hasn't come to see me for once or tried to talk to me. It's Megan and I now.

We are leaving for the desert in an hour.

"Have you seen my hat around here?" First of all, I don't touch his things. He's definitely trying to find a way to talk to me.

"Goodmorning to you too." He frowns then stares at me before he spoke up,

"Goodmorning Shallo. Now, have you seen my hat?"

"Yeah. Under my bed."

"Shallo, that's a N$500 hat. It's not supposed to touch the ground."

I roll my eyes before kneeling down beside my bed to get his hat for him. I quickly jerk my right hand, wincing at the excruciating pain. My palm has more then five pins attached to it. He quickly rushes towards me, holds my hand in his, pulling out the red pins one by one.

My hand is bleeding profusely. He treads to his side of the room, to his closet, and pulled out his clothes. He grabs a white bottle from the back of the closet. He takes his white tank vest, poured the content onto the vest and dabs it on my hand.  I couldn't help but stare, I won't deny, he's a very good looking guy. He has a scar above his left brow, which got me a little curious.

"That scar, what happened to you?" I observe the scar. He doesn't look at me. I could feel the pain on my hand easing.

"Fight. I was in a fight." When the bleeding had stopped, he applies a white cooling ointment and finally wraps a bandage around my hand.

"Thank you."

"Mmm."

I guess Ashton isn't as bad as I  thought. I expected him to walk out on me, heartlessly, when I pricked my hand but he did not. Maybe we could be friends after all. He throws the blood soaked vest in the bin and sauntered back to his side. He begins to fold his clothes back in the closet.

"Why do you have pins under your bed?" He asks out of the blue.

That reminds me. Why are there pins under my bed?

"I don't know how they got there."

Just then, Andre and McKenzie walked in.

"Knock!!" Ashton scolds the both of them. Andre smirks as he creepily  looked at McKenzie.

"Oooh. Calm down daddy." Ashton gags at McKenzie's girl-ish action.

"Shallo, what happened to your hand?" Andre looks at me contentedly then at Ashton.

"Next time you're trying handcuffs on her, take it easy on her. She's clearly new to these things." Before i could answer, McKenzie blurts out walking to the bathroom.

Ashton looks at him befuddled , clearly ignoring him. There's always that friend I swear.

"Aim, you have a problem!" Ashton reminds McKenzie.

"Bro! Shallo could've been a potential. You just ruined that." McKenzie screeched closing the bathroom door. I laugh at their hilarious behaviour.

One thing I've noticed about these three, they respect each other. I know McKenzie has a sense of humour and speaks his mind and that's it, but they love each other.

"Ash, your father called. He needs you to present her to him so he can go ahead and sign the contract to the deal."

"Can we talk about this later Dre?" I know Ashton is saying that because he doesn't want me to hear about whatever they are on. I can tell he's worried, It's evident in his tone.

"Andre, can you get my tent for me?" I asked, getting it hard holding anything in my hand.

"Don't bother mate. I got it under control."

"What do you mean you only brought one? Where will I sleep?" This guy is unbelievable. Men are so irresponsible.

"We are sharing. Stop being a- woman. Your hand is sore. I need to check it every now and then. Quit arguing with me."

"Ashton!"

"What? Jeez, keep it down Mamii!" Oh I'm Mamii now. Cute, but that's not my concern right now. Ashton thinks just because we share a room we are sharing a tent too. 'Not happening'.

"It happened already." He says flatly. I must have spoken my thoughts out loud.

"Get your cute ass in there while I get the first aid kit from Simsa. Don't argue with me." Oh my word, Why am I dealing with this guy. I know he helped me but I can help myself now.

A few minutes later, Simsa comes to the site.

"Good morning students, I hope you have all the necessities. We are spending two days in this desert and I'd like all of you to cooperate with me. It's not as safe. The sun is going down, so our first task begins tomorrow morning. Get enough rest. " We all mumble in agreement. I am currently standing next to Megan. Danny is nowhere to be found. I missed her much.

"We are leaving soon. Don't you think you and Danny should solve things."
Megan states matter of factly. I don't seem to have any issue with Danny and I know she doesn't have any problem with me either. She's been acting up. It's all her.

"I see no point in doing that. I haven't done anything. This whole mess is one sided."

"I think she needs time. She might be going through stuff."

"But as my bestfriend, don't you think I deserve to know. I never keep things from her for goodness' sake."

Megan only looks at me. The sun is setting and I can't see Ashton anywhere. He's clearly sharing a room with one of his bros. Cause I'm not the one.

I walk back to the grey tent. Luckily, Ashton had set it up. All I have to do is make my bed and get some rest. My hand is starting to hurt. I enter and lock the tent from inside. I need to get some rest. I take two painkillers from my bag and toss them in my mouth escorting them with a chunk of water.
