"Danny wake up! We are gonna be late! " I grab her foot pulling her out of bed one more time. She is still snoring. Did she forget about school? The last time we arrived late to school, Mr Clegg, added us to the worst group in class. It was filled with stupid and ignorant students who would watch you choke on your pen's cap and won't even spare you a glance.

"What time is it?" She whines tossing to the other side.

"It's 7:30 butthead! " I jump around trying to pull my Jean up to my butt. School starts in 30 minutes. And it is a 10 minute drive.

"Fuck fuck fuck!!" She unwillingly pushes herself out of bed and runs into the bathroom whereas I'm having a hard time getting dressed. After putting on my clothes. Which are a light blue Jean and an African print off shoulder top and simple sandals. I tie my hair in a high puff, loosening a few hair strands .

Danny has 15 minutes to get ready and extra 5 for breakfast. I go to the kitchen and opt for fruit loops for breakfast. I pour cereal first. Jake would always tell me to pour milk first but it just didn't seem right. I eat up in a flurry. Danny comes running downstairs. She wore a red simple T-shirt and black sweatpants and slide in sandals. One thing about Danny, is that she could were the simplest of outfit and still looks good in it. Her body is just amazing.

She grabs an apple from the island and we both head out to her car and take off to school.

"Classes will only resume next of next week Wednesday. Use this chance to study for the English quiz that you'll be writing after you return." Mrs Merkel says adjusting her round glasses. Her glasses are huge, they have her looking like a bug. Next up is a free lesson. Than Mr Immanuel's lesson; Oshikwanyama. It's gonna be a long day.

It feels like a hundred hours on campus. We are currently sitting in front of the cafeteria. I'm extremely exhausted, I just want to go home. Everyone has their eyes on me. One thing I hate about this school is that, news spread faster than a burning fire in grass fields. I hate too much attention, and now it wasn't helping.

We resumed school after a week and days off. They must have heard about Jake. Though Jake was cute and all, he was not popular, I don't know why. It's true what they say; people only care when you are dead or cute.

Unexpectedly, My eyes lock with Ashton's. Ashton?? I didn't know he went to the same school as us. He's probably one of the rich and famous faces around campus. You can tell how his audience is admiring him, or maybe they heard about his abduction. How long has he been creepily staring at me? Why is he with Andre? 'They are friends Shay'.

I avert my eyes back to Danny who is exchanging words with some boy with short red dreads. He looks cute as the colour outlined his complexion. They are saying something about camp. Is the whole school going? Everyone is talking about the boot camp. I keep finding Ashton staring at me.

I don't know what to do as I am facing him. I nug the strange looking boy and talk him into switching seats with me. He nods unhesitatingly. Danny whines and I chuckle. My back faces Ashton. Take that!

Ashton's POV

Andre gave me the information I need. That he had seen Shallo heading to the Cafeteria. These are the girls you never see on campus. You can't blame me. This school is full. It's like I see a different face on a daily basis.

Maybe I could use the opportunity to apologise and get it over with.

The site is quite crowded. I can feel eyes piercing through me from all the stares. I walk just behind Shallo. Stopping in my track. I can see people looking at her now. What is wrong with everyone.

Andre and I choose a seat across her table, so I could look at how beautiful she looks while smiling even when she shouldn't be smiling. That's when I saw them. Dimples. Deep and curvy dimples. I didn't know she had dimples until she smiled. She has a bottle of creme soda in her hands. Who still drinks that?

She seems dull and inattentive towards the conversation. Accidentally, her eyes found mine. Her eyes. I always get lost in them. Am I falling for her? That would be the last thing I'd do. She's too arrogant and proud. Her and I is a negative.

I don't break my gaze. I see her lean in closer to McKenzie. My heart skipped a beat and my jaw clenched at the thought of her kissing him. Why do I always assume the worst. I can never let that happen. Instead, she whispers something in his ear and she laughs at whatever. I mentally note to talk to him later.

I let out a sigh of relief that she wasn't actually going to... kiss him. But why is she laughing with him. I see as she stands up and switch seats with McKenzie.. Great! Just great. Now she doesn't even want to look at me. How am I gonna talk to her? Maybe I should let her be and forget she ever existed. I'm done trying. I stand up before Andre spoke up.

"Are you alright? You look tensed." He looks up at me, concerned.

"Yeah. Uhm... Can we go home?"

"We still have two more classes." I'm starting to lose it. All I want is to go home. "What's the point of coming to school if we are leaving for camp tomorrow anyway?"

"Would you like anything to eat along the way?" Andre asks getting on my last nerve now.

"Bro, stop behaving like you're my bodyguard. You are my 'bestfriend' for crying out loud." I snap, emphasising the word bestfriend. I guess I said that a little too loud, because i just attracted more attention.

"I'll take that as a no." He gets up snappily. He orders me to go before him.

I walk out of the site, trying to avoid anymore stare. I bump Shallo's shoulder causing her to spill her soda all over her clothes. Can't this day get any better?

Shallo's POV

I dry my top after I spill my drink all over myself, thanks to the person I hate with passion. Why is he still after me. Can't I just live a normal life.

I fan my Jean too. The stain on my jean made it look like I peed on myself. I think going home is better than embarrassing myself. I tell Danny and she agrees. She pulls out a black denim jacket from her backpack and ask me to cover myself up. This girl's a lifesaver!

She says goodbye to the boy she was talking to and we take off to her car.
We drive home in silence. She grabs the house key and unlocks the door.

I am greeted by the fresh smell of polished tiles and the sound the fridge always makes. It feels welcoming.

"I want to tell you something but I know you'll drop the idea of going to camp with me." Danny finally says making me raise my brows questionably.

"Ok?" I ask in anticipation.

"What? I'm not gonna tell You. I will tomorrow. " She smirks heading to the kitchen. We are leaving tomorrow already? Where exactly are we going? What did she want to tell me?

"Uuuhg...Fiiine." I grumble throwing my hands in the air. I watch as she returns, carrying a bowl of chips. "At least tell me where we are going." I pout still not sure if I really want to go.

"To the Coast, but we are gonna camp in the desert. Don't pull that face on me, cause you are going."

"Sounds fun." I sigh relieved, I mean who doesn't love going to the coastal side. I head upstairs to change into something a little comfy and maybe see if there's anything I might of needed to buy for the trip.
