A/N; This is an indirect continuation of the last one-shot, so this features Non-human Albedo as well.

You roll over in your bed yet again and with a sigh you stare at the ceiling.
It seems this will be another sleepless night.
You don't even know when was the last time you had a good rest.
While laying on your bed wide awake, your mind drifts to Albedo.
"Does he even need to sleep?"
You make a mental note to ask him about it tomorrow.
Be it someone else, you wouldn't dare to even think about such questions, but Albedo made clear that you can ask whatever you think of.
"We alchemists always question everything, it's only natural to answer anything you'd like to know."
You smile at remembering your last conversation and try to fall asleep once more, still with no luck.

The only thing that keeps you awake is the thought of finally getting to see Albedo again - and also the fact freezing to death doesn't sound very comfortable.
"You're earlier than usual." He states to which you only smile.
"I couldn't wait to see you again~!" You jokingly say, trying to mask the real reason with humor - just as always.
"I- see. I'm glad to see you as well."
You could swear you saw him blush before he could look away from you.

You decide to sit close to the fire and start burning some sticks you have found.
"Can I ask you a question?" When you hear him agree, you continue, "Do you even sleep?"

"Well, that's... Not an easy question." You decide to look at him, just to see him deeply in thoughts.

"I don't think it's the same thing as a normal sleep. But yes, I rest from time to time." For a moment, your eyes meet each other. You decide to just nod and get back to your favorite pastime - setting things on fire.

You can't help but yawn from time to time, feeling your eyelids getting heavier and heavier. The rhythmic sound of Albedo working and writing down his research doesn't help either. You only sigh and grab another stick.
"Let's just burn this little sucker too, but just a little bit- aw, I put it too close." You start to ramble, as you always did.
Since you were a kid, when you got tired, you just started talking about everything and nothing at the same time.
You suddenly hear Albedo putting down some glass and you immediately shut up.
You absolutely forgot he's here and actually trying to work.
You're prepared to apologize, when you sense him looking at you.
"Y/N."
"..yes?" You turn around to look at him, expecting him to send you back home.

"When was the last time you slept?"

You can't help it but stare at him for a moment. You didn't expect this question in the slightest. Not even the other Adventurers noticed, and you almost live with them, for God's sake!

"..I don't know." You admit, avoiding the eye contact. He just sighs and shakes his head.

"Just- try to keep quiet for a moment, please." You only hum in response, feeling slightly embarrassed.
"I can leave if you need to focus on your work." You add, trying to sound as unbothered as you possibly could.
It goes without saying that you don't want to leave, but the last thing you'd want is making him feel bad for kicking you out.

"No- no, that won't be needed." He answers way too quickly, but you decide to ignore it.

You can feel your eyes burning because of you staring into the fire, but you're too tired to even blink.
Suddenly, you feel something cold hitting your cheek.
You quickly turn your head to look at it, just to see Albedo holding some vial right next to your face.
Upon seeing your confused expression, he explains:
"This is an extract from Calla lilies and Qingxin flowers. It should help you sleep."

You just slowly blink. "Huh?"

"Just drink this before going to sleep. Those flowers are usually used for sleeping pills, but it works like this too."

"I- thank you." You mumble while taking the vial from him, feeling the warmth getting into your cheeks.

"Why didn't you say something sooner?" His question brings you back into reality.

"I didn't want to bother you with such things."
You sense him finally sitting down next to you.

"You know you won't ever bother me in any way, right? I want to help you, so please-" He puts your face into his hand, making you look him in his blue eyes,
"If you're having any problem, just tell me right away, okay?"
You can only nod before hugging your dearest Alchemist.

"Okay."
