Albedo | Klee the Matchmaker

You politely knock on the door in front of you before turning the knob and entering without waiting for an answer.
"Y/N!! Y/N is baaack!!" You're immediately greeted by a tight hug, to which you can't help but laugh.
"I also missed you, Klee." You lift her up and hear her laugh in response.
You turn around to look at the end of the hall, just to see Albedo poking out of the doors.
Your smile quickly turns into more loving and you slowly put Klee down.

"Hey, Albedo." You say, trying to sound nonchalant, but failing miserably.

"I didn't expect you to come back so... Early." He admits and you just nod in agreement.

"Yea, me neither. It turned out the hilichurls weren't so much of a threat as The Adventurer's Guilt thought." You're ready to explain the latest commission better, when Klee suddenly coughs to get both of the adult's attention.

"Ah, I almost forgot! I need to go now, but you two can still talk with each other!"
You could swear she winked at you before turning around and disappearing in her bedroom.

After a moment of confused silence, you look at Albedo again.
"...uh, what was that supposed to mean?"

"I honestly have no idea."

It didn't take long for Albedo to get back to his research and you found yourself alone sitting in the living room.
Before you can think more about what happened, the doors open and the little pyromaniac enters the room.
"Y/N, what are you doing?? You should talk to him, not sitting here." She crosses her arms, shaking her head, "And to think I even gave you the opportunity..."

You can't believe your ears,

"Wait," You take a moment for the words to sink in, "you left the room so we could-"

"So you two could finally get together!" She enthusiastically exclaims and you can feel the blood rushing into your cheeks.

"Klee, don't say such things." You try to hush her, to which she just gives you confused face.

"Why? I know you love him and I get it. My big bro is really amazing! And you're too, so it makes sense for you two to be together!"

At this moment, you don't want anything more than to just disappear. Knowing how impossible this wish is, you just pray that Albedo didn't hear this conversation.

"-but you absolutely wasted that opportunity. Don't worry! I'll help you one last time, so don't screw it up again!"
What did she just say?
Before you can react, she quickly inhales as much of air as she can and shouts at the top of her lungs.
"Albeeedoo! Y/N needs to talk to youu!!"
You just stare at her in a shock.
It doesn't take long for the door to open again. When the alchemist in question shows up, Klee just quickly flashes you thumbs-up and with a grin leaves the room.
You can feel yourself blushing harder every second and you can't make yourself look at anywhere else but the floor.
"Well, what is it?"
Curse his sweet monotone voice.
You decide to solve this as every problem you've had - by faking a laugh.
"Ha, it's nothing, really. I told Klee to keep quiet, so she thought it would be funny, I guess. Sorry for interrupting your work."
Thankfully, it looks like it's working.
You let out the breath you don't even know you were holding, when you suddenly hear Klee's voice from the other side of the doors.
"Aw come on, Y/N! Just tell him you love him already!"

This is it.
Your last day on the Earth.
You say good-bye to your life, feeling pretty pissed off at the fact you still haven't got payed for the latest commission.

You two just stare at each other for a long time.
"Is that true?" His question breaks the silence for a moment, but your inability to answer creates it once more.
After a while, you hear him chuckle.
"To think my little sister becomes my matchmaker.."
You notice Albedo getting closer to you, slowly taking your hand in his.
"We should thank her. After all, I don't think either of us would be that brave to get to this point."
You look back into the blue eyes you love so much and smile.

Maybe this isn't your last day yet.
