15 year old Iris Montague lives in a small two bedroom apartment in the San Fernando Valley. Living with her Grandmother had it's perks, she was very easy going and didn't worry too much about her granddaughter. She was proud of the young girl no matter what, always seeming to find the bright side in every situation the brunette found herself in.
Our story begins during Iris' sophomore year of high school, when she unexpectedly gets a new neighbor. Miguel Diaz ends up turning her world upside down, in more ways than one.
She suddenly finds herself in a karate dojo, being taught by the strange man who lives next door. The two have had brief encounters over the many years living in the complex together, each stranger than the last. She's not the only student in this new dojo, joining her and Miguel is her best friend Eli and a few of their other classmates when Miguel decides to show off his new skills in the cafeteria.
