Today was the day... Elizabeth turned twenty nine and she was not feeling it. "turn it off!" she groaned as she rolled over, the agent had spent the night at Emily's as a girly sleepover type thing.
"get up then!" Emily laughed as she got out the bed, 'how was she so chirpy?' Elizabeth asked herself but she forgot about that thought when Emily walked around to the side she was on and yanked the covers off her.
"Emily!" Elizabeth yelled.
The black haired agent laughed as Elizabeth was giving the pout that everyone loved but none fell for... well maybe Derek. "we have work!" Emily scolded her as Elizabeth glared at her but she got up.
Elizabeth trudged towards the shower that was thankfully attached to the bedroom before stripping and singing badly to wind Emily up. "shut up!" Emily yelled from outside the bathroom.
After ten minutes in the shower, washing the regret of sleeping over was over. Elizabeth got out and got dressed for the day ahead, and she hoped the case wasn't going to be that bad.
"finally!" Emily exclaimed.
Elizabeth and Emily grabbed their coffees, their bags before leaving her apartment and getting into Emily's car. "twenty nine!" Emily cheered as she pulled into a spot next to Garcia's car.
"don't remind me." Elizabeth groaned.
Both agents left the elevator which stopped at level six, and Garcia was walking towards the doors when she saw the two. "happy birthday!" The quirky analyst smiled and gave Elizabeth a hug.
"thank you." Elizabeth gave a small smile as all three ladies walked into the bullpen. "morning." JJ smiled as Elizabeth sat down on her desk, the agent looked over to see Reid engulfed in a book... nothing new there.
Elizabeth pulled out her case files before slamming them onto her desk, "i want to go back to bed! Emily kept kicking me during the night and i kept waking up." Elizabeth complained as Emily scoffed.
"i don't know how Morgan puts up with you! you turn over every five seconds!" Emily bit back.
Hotch appeared behind Elizabeth which scared all three agents who were speaking. "case." he muttered as all groaned. "we just got in!" Emily groaned as the ladies and Reid pushed themselves off the chairs and walked to the conference room.
"surprise! happy birthday." Derek, Rossi and Garcia was stood around one side of the table, with presents and a cake on it. "oh guys." Elizabeth smiled at the sight. "you didn't have to." she added on.
Derek, Rossi and Penelope was happy she liked it as she went around to give all a hug, but she gave Derek a kiss on the cheek but she got one on the cheek from Rossi. "we wanted to surprise you!" Garcia smiled.
Elizabeth felt happy and she felt loved.
As all was tucking into their cake, a cough broke them from their laughter. The Section Chief was standing there, with tablets in her hand and a sad look on her toned face.
