Elizabeth stared at the sonogram that the doctor had given her, and she teared up as she was carrying the baby that was in her stomach. "you are going to be loved, bean." she rubbed her flat stomach as she began driving herself back to the BAU office.
"hey, you okay?" she looked up to see Derek standing behind her, as she just said she was going for a doctors appointment but she didn't say why she was going. Elizabeth knew she wasn't going to keep it a secret any longer and neither was Penelope, so she had to tell everyone now.
Elizabeth cleared her throat, "can everyone go to the conference room please." she smiled as she went up the stairs and said the same thing to her boss and her father, and she had already sent a text to Penelope about plugging the USB in which held a recorded version of the sonogram on it.
"what's going on?" Kate, now 8 months pregnant and was going on maternity leave in two days, asked as she sat down next to Hotch. "Garcia, can you help." she muttered as she didn't want to break anything as she would have the blonde analyst on her back.
Penelope nodded and she was handed the USB before plugging it in before returning to her seat in between Derek and Emily. "i have something to tell you." she lifted her head up and leaned over to grab the remote from Garcia's hand.
"you'll be fine." Penelope nodded. "i know." she smiled.
Elizabeth sucked in a breath before turning the TV on and the team were met with a black screen. "it takes a moment." she chuckled as she moved around to watch herself. And after a few seconds, the sonogram recording came up, and you could hear the small heartbeat.
"are you pregnant?" Emily looked over to the brunette who nodded. "surprise." she rubbed the back of head and waited for everyone's reaction.
The faces of everyone's had instantly changed from confused to happy. "oh my god! congratulations!" Emily was the first one to get up and hug the brunette pregnant agent. "thank you." she hugged her back.
One after another came up to hug her but Derek was the last one to come up to her. "why didn't you tell me?" he whispered as he stood in front of her. "i didn't want to tell you, just in case." she muttered as her eyes kept flickering around the room.
"look at me." He demanded. She done that and he gave the pregnant agent a smile before bringing her into a hug. "i'm going to be a father!" he cheered as he lifted Elizabeth into the air.
Derek was pulled back by Penelope as she gave him a massive hug, "congratulations chocolate thunder!" she squealed as she patted his back. "hopefully they don't turn out like him." Rossi joked as everyone laughed.
"oh no." Garcia's voice broke everyone out of the happy mood. "we have a case." she looked up at everyone and gave them a sad smile, and she watched as everyone sit down.
Kate was the only team member that wasn't going in the field, expect Garcia. "where to?" Spencer crossed his fingers together. "Maryland." The blonde tech analyst told everyone. "we have a hostage situation down there." Hotch notified them all.
