An hour has gone by and as usual Nick has tried on countless of clothes and bought none, I don't even know what he's here for actually, I'm also hungry.
I'm sat outside the 'Levi's' jeans store and a woman sits next to mi e and begins reading her book, it immedietly irritates me seeing that she's one of those readers who bends the front of the book around the back, so when it's closed the pages are bent and untidy. My main pet peeve in people, I need my books in a nice condition, no bent pages, or broken spine, just like new. I scowl and stand to go find Nick and I accidentally bump into what feels like a boulder but it's a boy.

The first thing I notice are his eyes, wide, blue with a hint of Hazel in them. Such a nice colour. How peculiar...my thoughts are interrupted by his hands holding me up. I look at him andhe's at least 6ft. Jesus!
"Are you alright, miss?" his tone and voice is very deep, it vibrates through my body. How strange. I compose myself. "I'm fine, sorry. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings, I was-"
"Scowling at the world about something it seems" he cuts me off. What?
"No, I was scowling at the way the woman was holding her book actually" I say it a lot faster than intended.

"I know" he laughs. Has he been watching me? No, get a grip. The more I try to look at his face I look away, he is just staring straight into my eyes, like he's searching for something. Who is this guy? "are you alone?" he says in a soft tone.
"No, I'm shopping with my best friend" I reply as my cheeks redden.
"Oh, where is she?" His sarcastic tone pierces me.
"HE is in Levi's, now if you'll excuse me, I must be going." Irritation hits me.
"He? That's unusual, he clearly want's more with you" his tone is playful, but I know he means what he's saying. Anger fills me. Why would he assume it's a girl? Everyone has guy best friends. Don't they? Whatever, I don't care. He's so rude.
"No, he doesn't. I can clearly see what you want. Goodbye." I walk towards the store as Nick is leaving with a bag in his hand. I hope he is done because this guy has ruined my mood. How rude can someone be? Nick is just staring at me then the guy next to me and so on trying to figure out the situation in front of him.
"Ava, are you alright?" he's serious.
"Err..yeah, I accidentally bumped into him coming to see you so I was just saying sorry" trying to be calm.
"Okay, lets go then, I'm done for once" holding up the bag full of clothes and a big smile on his face.
I smile back, "okay, lets go." I start to walk away and turn round and say bye to the rude guy.
"See you around, Ava" he replied with a grin. I stop and face him, shocked that he called me by my given name like he knows me. Nick grabs my arm and pulls me away. I hope I don't see him again after today 'he clearly wants more with you' that one sentence repeats in my mind over and over. Nick brings me back to reality and were already at the car. That was fast.
"Are you listening?" He sounds worried.
I let out a long sign, "yeah, I was just side tracked by what that guy said to me"
He looks at me puzzled "what did he say?"
I hesitate "nothing bad, it's just, he was surprised when I mentioned a boy being my best friend and say that you wanted more with me, as if that's the reason you're my best friend" I'm breathing heavily by the end and Nick is taken aback by my outburst. I stand staring at him, waiting for a reply.

He shifts onto one leg and folds his arms "I don't understand why everyone says that about me, am I giving of a vibe?" He smiles to the side.
"I don't know, are you?" I raise my eyebrow up at him and mimic his actions.
"we'll never know" and winks, leaving me with my mouth open.
