Y/N's POV

'Oh! I have a great idea! Why don't we have a snowball fight?' I say.

'Yeah, wicked!' George agrees.

We rush out to the courtyard which is covered in a thick layer of snow. We slow down and start walking, leaving a trail of deep footprints behind us. I walk behind the three boys, wanting to get the first hit. I scoop up some snow in my hands discreetly and throw it at Fred's back. He turns around, smirking.

'Oh, you're in for it now.'

'Lee, you're on my side!' I say and he runs over to me while the twins go to the other side. I scoop up some more snow and pelt it at Fred again, hitting his shoulder. He chucks one back, but I dodge it just in time.

Oi, get ready to lose!' George shouts.

'No way, mate!' Lee yells back.

Me and Lee are quite good at dodging while hitting the twins almost every time. There's snow flying everywhere. My cheeks are cold and my fingers are numb. But I don't care. I'm having too much fun to care. We keep pelting them at each other, non stop. The twins have only hit us a couple of times.

Fred chucks one in my direction, hitting me on the leg.

I smile and throw one, aiming for his face. Its explodes in his face and he wipes it off, a little taken aback.

'Okay, okay, you win guys.' He says, walking over to us.

Me and Lee celebrate with a hug and I turn to Fred. His cheeks and nose are red. It's cute. He's cute.

'Hey, Freddie. Or should I say loser?'

'Ok, ok, no need to rub it in.'

'You would have done the exact same thing,' I say, laughing. 'Um, Fred, can I talk to you in private?'

'Oooooh.' Lee and George go, before I give them a scowl and they take their cue to leave.

'Anyways, I wanted to ask you something.'

'Oh, ok, what is it?' He asks, curious, looking right into my eyes.

'I was wondering if you... wanted to go on another date with me.'

'Oh, really?' He asks, looking bashful. 'Yeah, alright then.'

I grin at him. 'Okay, meet me on the astronomy tower at 8 on Monday.'

'Okay, I'll be there.'

We're both smiling like idiots at this point and we go to catch up with George and Lee.

'You guys okay?' George asks.

'Fine.' Fred says, smiling at me.

'You look like a tomato mate. Y/N, what did you say to him?'

We laugh, heading back to the common room.

- Monday -

Ok, today is the day I'm going on my second date with Fred. I'm excited, the last one was fun. I told Fred to meet me on the astronomy tower. The stars will be out, I'll take some food to the kitchen, and we'll sit together under the moon. I hope he'll like it. I think he will.

7:51. I rush to the fruit bowl painting and tickle the pear. It giggles and the painting moves to reveal a hole in the wall. The house elves aren't in sight, so I grab some food to go with the little packages of sweets we got from Honeydukes. I pack it all into a basket and make my way up to the astronomy tower.

7:57. I should be just on time. Fred comes into view. He's looking out, holding on to the railing.

'Hey.' I say, softly, trying not to scare him.

He turns to me, grinning. 'Hey, Y/N, what's in the basket?'

'Good to see you too, Fred.'

'Sorry. It is good to see you though.'

I laugh and place the basket in between us, opening it up.

'Hey,  you got pumpkin pasties.'

'I knew you liked them.'

I get up, looking over the railing, while biting into a pumpkin pasty. Fred gets up and stands next to me.

'Quite a view, right?' I say.

'Yeah, this was the perfect idea. Thanks for this, Y/N.'

I wrap my hands around his waist and pull him in for a hug. I feel safe and comfortable in his arms. He pulls away and looks into my eyes.

Fred brings his face close to mine. I feel his breath on my face. We're so close.

'Can I kiss you?' He whispers.

'Yes.' I reply, simply.

Our lips are brought together like magnets, as if by force. It feels like fireworks are being set off. My stomach is full of butterflies and my hands are on either side of his face.

I pull away and take a deep breath, looking at him.

'I never know what people say after kissing.' I tell him.

He laughs softly. 'Say nothing. Kiss me again.'

So I did.

***

We spend the rest of the night under the stars, eating and laughing together.  It's peaceful. No one's awake. It's almost like the whole world's asleep.

I love spending time with Fred. It's like everything is still and it's just me and him. The world is still. It's just us, in the moment. Together. Like right now.

We're not wondering whether Filch will catch us, or what school work is due. We're just lost in the moment and our conversations.
