Y/N's POV

'Mr Weasley, if you spent less time staring at Miss Y/N and more time on your potion, your potion might be a success.'

Hearing my name being said, I glance over at Professor Snape and Fred, making eye contact with him as his cheeks fade to a bright shade of red.

'Oh, sorry Professor.' He looks away from me and intensely reads his ingredients list. I fail to stifle my laughter,  earning me a death stare from Snape. I turn back to my potion, but not before looking back at Fred one last time to see him smiling at me.

For the rest of the lesson, the whole class is hard at work as we focus on perfecting our strength potions. By the end, I messed mine up so badly, it appears brown and still, rather than orange and bubbly. I abandon the whole thing before Snape can see my failed attempt and shame me for it.

'Class dismissed.' Snape says, sounding emotionless and stiff as always. We file out of the classroom and make our way to the Great Hall for lunch. I pack up my things and find Lee and the twins waiting for me outside.

'Hey, guys.' I grin at them, grabbing their attention.

'Hey. We ready to go?' George asks.

'Yeah, I'm really hungry actually.' Lee says.

We begin walking, making conversation as we stroll.

'I am not, the look of my potion has put me well off food right now.' I say, grimacing at the memory of my cauldron.

'Why? What happened?' Fred asks, chuckling slightly, taking my hand into his.

'It was brown rather than orange and it was not bubbly. So you can imagine how gross it looked.' I reply and Fred grimaces before laughing with me. 'How did yours go?'

'Snape took over mine after he realised how bad I'd messed up.' We laugh together about our potion mistakes. We begin to run to catch up with the other two, as they are faster than us.

George and Lee enter the hall just before me and Fred so we follow them to the Gryffindor table and sit across from each other. Immediately, we fill our plates with food and talk about anything and everything.

Of course, Lee and George don't hesitate to bring up the potions incident and start teasing us.

'Fred, you went so red.' Lee remarks, laughing uncontrollably.

'Yeah, okay guys, laugh it up. Haha, so funny.' Fred replies, sarcasm dripping from his voice. I laugh at the situation.

'It was quite funny.' I say.

'You can't say anything, Y/N, we saw you staring back., George adds. 'You two are so in love it makes me feel ill. It's only been, what? A month?'

'One month anniversary tomorrow.' Fred says, smiling to himself.

Fred's POV

I smile at the thought of me and Y/N together, probably making me look a bit odd. But I don't care all that much. She makes me really happy and this past month has been great. I have the perfect gift for her as well, though I'm not sure when I'll be able to give it to her.

Before I know it, lunch is over and we have a free period. So, as usual, we spend it in the common room. I sit in front of the fireplace, at the small coffee table, my work spread out. Y/N sits on the main sofa, my brother next to her and Lee in the armchair. Quill in hand, I'm learnt over my parchment, pouring all my knowledge of the topic into my charms essay (which isn't much).
