It's Lee's birthday today so me and the twins have decided to throw him a surprise party. Nothing major, just a couple of friends. We thought he would prefer that over a massive party.

I'm sitting in an empty classroom, waiting for the twins. They're bringing decorations and I've got food.  I asked the elves to make a cake. I had a sneaky bit of icing and that alone was delicious.

'Y/N, are you eating Lee's cake?' Fred asks, smirking at me.

'No, I'm not. Can't believe you'd even accuse me of that.' I said, smiling at him.

I jump off the desk and join George putting up some bunting spelling out, 'Happy Birthday!'

'It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.' I stand back, admiring.

'It does. Now, how are we gonna get him in here without him being suspicious?'

'Tell him a teacher needs him in here over work or something.' I say, grabbing a glass and filling it with juice.

'It's a Saturday.' Fred says, matter-of- factly.

'So? I got called into Potions on a Sunday.' I reply.

'True, alright. Okay, what time is it?'

'9:17. I think he's studying. I'll go get him.' I place my cup down and rush out the door, making my way to library.

I think me and the twins are more excited about Lee's birthday than he is. He hasn't really mentioned it, to be honest.

Disregarding my train of thought as I reach the library, I push the doors open. My eyes scan the room, looking for Lee. He's sitting in the corner with a couple books around him and a quill in his hand.

'Hey, Lee, Professor Mcgonagall needs you. She asked me to come get you.' I whisper, careful not to draw attention.

He looks up, a little worried. I sort of feel bad for lying about it but it's the only way to get him there.

'Oh, okay, shit. Give me a second.'

I help him pack up his parchment and books before we walk out and make our way to the classroom.

'Do you know what she wants?' He asks, walking beside me.

'Um...no, I'm not completely sure.' I reply, trying to be convincing.

'Oh, alright then.' He lets it go.

I turn another corner and the classroom comes into view. Here we go. I turn the doorknob.

'Surprise!'

'Oh my gosh guys.'

'Do you like my decorations?' George asks, pointing to his decorations. He's quite proud of them after he put them up.

'I love them, George.' He says, pulling him in for a hug.

Lee goes over to the food and immediately grabs a handful of crisps.

'Thanks guys, I really appreciate this,' He turns around, eating. 'Y/N, you got me scared with Mcgonagall.'

'Sorry, but I think I have something that will make up for it.' I say, remembering something.

I pull out a bag from underneath the table and hand it to Lee.

'Got you a present.' I smile at him and he pulls me into a bear hug instantly.

'Whoa,' I chuckle and hug him back. 'Okay, open it. I wanna see your reaction.'

He pulls the present out and unwraps it revealing the book he was asking me for.

'You got it? Oh my merlin, Y/N. Thank you, I love you.'

'No problem, Jordan. Happy birthday.' He smiles at me and places his book down.

'Now we look like dickheads, we didn't get you anything. Sorry Lee.' Fred says.

'It's fine, Fred. I just want your guys' company.'

'Okay, this cake looks good, who's cutting it?' I ask.

Fred ends up cutting the cake (he insisted) and we sit on the floor, trying to catch popcorn in our mouths.

George is better at it than any of us. I chuck one over at him and he catches it, effortlessly.

'I'm gonna go grab some more food. Lee, you wanna come?' George starts getting up.

'Yeah, sure.' They walk out together, leaving me alone with Fred.

'Hey, Y/N, can we talk?'

Oh no. Oh god. This can't be good. When someone says that, they never have something good to say.

'Um... sure? Is everything okay?'

'Yeah, yeah. I just want to ask you something.'

'Sure.' I reply, watching his cheeks go red. What's got him so flustered?

'Okay, so I know we had our ups and downs with Cedric and that whole thing, but I think our dates went pretty well and...'

'And what, Fred?' Is he asking what I think he's asking?

'Well, I really don't like you. I hate you in fact. You disgust me.' He says, making eye contact with me. 'No, no, I'm just kidding.'

He breaks out laughing.

'I actually wanted to ask if you'd be my girlfriend.'

'Not after that. You hurt my feelings.' I reply, looking away from him.

'Y/N, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it.'

'I'm joking, of course I will.'

His face lights up. He pulls me into a hug and spins me around, before putting me down and looking into my eyes.

He kisses my forehead, 'God, you're beautiful.'

'Awhh...' We hear from the doorway. We look over and Lee and George are standing there.

'Honestly, best present I could ask for,' Lee says, walking over to us. 'It was starting to take too long for you to get together.'

We laugh and Fred let's go to take some of the new food.

'Hey, guys, I have an idea.'

**

We're lying in the grass, looking up at the stars. Fred has his arm around me as we lay, only hearing the sounds of owls.

This is peaceful. Lying in each others silent company.

'Lee, you have a good birthday? Sorry we didn't get to do much.' George speaks up.

'No, it was great, I liked it. Seriously, thanks guys.'

'No problem.' Fred says.

We spend the rest of the night together, under the stars, not a care in the world.
