"y/n? wake up," i feel fred nudging my arm, trying to wake me up after we fell asleep outside watching the stars. it wasn't actually our intention to fall asleep, we're probably gonna get in loads of trouble for this.
i open my eyes slowly and turn to face him. "hey," i smile.
"sleep well?" he asks, rubbing his eyes.
"yes, it was probably the best i've slept in a while. what about you?"
"i'm glad to hear that. i slept really well too." he stands up, then reaches his hand out so i can get up as well.
"that's great. we should probably go back to the dorms, i bet we're gonna get in a ton of trouble if the teachers find us." i wipe the leaves and dirt off my clothes and start walking towards the castle.
"right, yeah. let's go." he catches up to me, going slightly in front. "what's the time?"
"i'm not sure, i don't have a watch on me, but looking at the sky i'd say it's about 6:30." the sun's rising now, it's not completely up but i'm sure it will be by the time we get to the dorms.
"so we still have some time before breakfast?"
"yeah we do," i smile. "also, uh, about last night..." i knew we had to talk about it at some point. i didn't want to ruin our morning, but i felt like it would be better to just get it out of the way.
"you don't regret anything do you?"
"no of course not, to be honest i'm not really sure what i wanted to talk about - i guess i just wanted to make sure that we were clear on everything and that we both meant everything we said - i know i did."
"oh, right- yeah. i meant everything i said." fred replies reassuringly.
"good." i sigh in relief.
"discussion over?"
"absolutely." i laugh, turning a corner and heading towards the gryffindor tower, fred close behind.

there's a quidditch game in a few hours - gryffindor against hufflepuff. i'm quite confident, we usually win against them - we don't play hufflepuff much actually, but when we do it usually goes well for us.
me and fred didn't get in trouble for sleeping outside last night, and george and lee didn't suspect a thing. i feel really good about our relationship, and i think he does too, which is good. not many people know about it - but it's fred, so people will probably figure it out soon.
right now, i'm sitting next to hermione, ron and a couple of others in the stands in the quidditch pitch, waiting for the players to come out. i would be sitting next to lee, but he's commentating so he's in the stands with the teachers. angelina doesn't know about me and fred, but i think she has some sort of idea. honestly, i'm not really bothered about her finding out. it's quite obvious how she feels about him, but it's not like that's gonna change anything.
as the players from each team fly out, everyone stands up and cheers. snape's refereeing the game, so he's probably going to favour hufflepuff. it should be fine though - all our team have to do is just not do anything that snape could give them a penalty for, everyone knows how petty he is with gryffindors.
"hello and welcome to the second quidditch game of the season - gryffindor against hufflepuff!" lee narrates.
fred winks at me as he takes his starting position in the air, i scrunch my nose and giggle in response.
