-- Y/N's POV --

'I know your secret.'

I'm speechless. I don't know what to say.

'What do you mean?' I ask, confidently as possible.
It's clear he sees right through me.

'Don't play dumb,' His voice is stern, not like it was when he read to me. He's looking right into my eyes. 'You know exactly what I'm talking about.'

I do. I know what he means.

'If you don't go along with this, I tell everyone.'

He wouldn't. I thought he was a good guy but now this. How did he even find out?

'You're bluffing.' I tell him, looking him straight in the eye.

'Oh, trust me, baby, I'm not.'

Hearing him call me baby was weird but if I didn't want everyone to know my secret, I had to pretend.

'Fine, under one condition.'

'Shoot.'

'I'm not kissing you.' I say. There is no way I'm gonna kiss him.

'Alright then, babe.' He agrees, smirking.

'And stop with the stupid nicknames.'

'I don't want to, sweetheart.'

He is so getting on my nerves. I can't believe I had to agree to this. I walk over to the tall doors and open them, letting Fred back in.

'Everything alright?' He asks, suspiciously.

'Perfectly fine,' Cedric replies before I even get a chance to. 'Right, darling?'

Darling? We're not a couple from the 1800s. No, scrap that, we're not a couple, full stop.

Fred and Cedric are both waiting for me to reply.

'Oh...uhh...yeah, of course.' I try to sound as convincing as possible.

I sit back down on the bed and Cedric sits next to me, leaving Fred staring at us in disgust.

'Everything okay, Freddie?' Cedric asks, in a demeaning tone.
Fred is angry now, he never likes it when people call him Freddie but he doesn't mind when I say it.

'Call me Freddie again and you can have a matching broken wrist with your little girlfriend.' He says before storming out. Whoa, I have never seen him that mad before.

'Fred, wait!' I call after him, trying to run but Cedric has a tight gasp on my good arm.

'Cedric, let go of me!' I cry out, pulling my arm away from him.

'It's not worth it, Y/N. Let him go be a moody bastard.' Cedric says, dismissively.

- Cedric's POV -
-  the next morning -

I watch as Y/N walks through the great hall and sits at the Gryffindor table with Fred and George.
I decide to walk over and sit beside her.

'Hey babe.'
She looks up at me, surprised, as I sit next to her.

'Oh hi.' She replies, plastering an obviously fake smile on her face.
I put my arm over her shoulder and turn to the twins.

'Good morning, guys.' I say, cheerfully.
They do not look happy.
Fred just looks down, not really eating, moving the bacon on his plate around with his fork.

George just looks at Y/N as if to say, 'Really?'

'Baby, don't you think we should head to class?' I ask, trying to get her away from these two idiots.

She looks hesitant.

'Oh...um...'

'Oh, the twins don't mind, do ya, guys?' I say, grinning at the twins.

They say nothing, just staring at us.

'Come on, Y/N. Let's go. You've got Herbology, right?' I ask, rising from my seat.

'No, Potions. With the Slytherins.'

I take her hand in mine and walk out the Great Hall.

'Cedric, let go.' She whispers, trying to get her hand away from mine.

'Stop causing a scene, Y/N.' I whisper back, in a almost-done-with-your-shit tone, causing her to stop struggling.

I walk her to the dungeons and say goodbye. Then I begin to make my way to Herbology.

  -- Y/N's POV --

As I walk into potions, my mind is racing.

I can't believe Cedric blackmailed me. I never would've never thought he was that type of person.
Why didn't I listen to Fred? He was right about Cedric.

He's a controlling asshole. He knows my secret. Nobody else knows, not even the twins.

How the fuck did he find out about my father?
