THALIA AND Maeve managed to get their wands back from the Marauders, even though it did take a sucker punch to James' gut from Maeve. They parted ways afterwards ( after a few colorful words from Sirius, ) making their way towards the Great Hall.

"They make me feel like I've lost half of my brain cells," Maeve mumbled, gripping her wand in her hand. Thalia mumbled something incoherent and rolled her eyes, thinking back to how Remus simply stared and smiled at them. She hated it, she hated them, most of all. With their stupid smiles, and their stupid jokes. It was like they had no troubles at all, no problems.

Thalia sighed and looked up at Maeve, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I'm gonna head to the dorm, they make me absolutely exhausted," she told her. Maeve nodded her head, waving her off as she headed up to the Ravenclaw tower. Something pricked at her chest, it made her heart ache and bile rise up in her throat.

She groaned in frustration as she took a detour, walking towards the Astronomy Tower. Her arms swung loosely beside her as she walked, her Mary Jane's tapping against the floor with each step she took. Her mind was blank, merely thinking of the steps she took; walking through the entrance of the Astronomy Tower.

Her head popped up when she realized that she wasn't near the Ravenclaw common room, merely coming up to the trapdoor of the Astronomy Tower. She sighed and pushed open the door, crawling her way up towards the top. Her hair blew lightly as wind whistled through the open windows, spinning the globe in the center of the room.

The stars at the top of the tower reflected against the setting sun. They glittered and reflected onto the stone on the floor, casting rainbows and flashes of white. Thalia followed them as she walked towards one of the windows, perching herself up on the ledge. She swung her legs over the ledge, letting them dangle above the ground as she looked over the school grounds.

Everything had a golden hue to it, the sun giving them bits of its beauty. Her eyes followed the trees, the quidditch pitch, she could even see Hagrid's hut from where she was seated. She smiled a bit at the hut, remembering all the times she went to see him. That reminded her that she hadn't gone in awhile and was way past a new visit.

As Thalia was lost in her thoughts, she never realized the tall, lanky boy that opened the trap door. Instead it was him that saw her. He saw as her hair moved with the wind, how her lower body was dangled over the ledge of the tower, and how she was leaning back on her arms. She was wearing a simple t-shirt and some comfortable pants, matching the blue in her hair.

Remus continued his trek over to the other side of the Astronomy Tower, not quite wanting to be caught just yet. Even so, Thalia would never have noticed. Her thoughts ran rampant as her eyes grazed over the horizon, thinking of stories, of ways that she could just, disappear here forever. She never wanted to leave.

The bell chimed from across the school, signaling that it was time for dinner. Yet, Thalia still sat perched on her ledge, watching as the sun dipped lower and lower into the hills. Her eyes followed the multicolored clouds, wondering what they would look like if it was the middle of the day. Stars started appearing in the sky, little faint dots ready to be bright again.

Her lips twitched a bit, the ghost of a smile wanting to pop up, but she held it back. She closed her eyes for a second, feeling a light breeze float across her face, sending her hair slightly to the side.

There was a loud thump from behind her and she quickly swiveled around, catching herself as she almost fell forward onto the stone floor. She saw the trap door close and raised an eyebrow, wondering if she was hallucinating. Her eyes darted around the room, looking for any sign of life, when her eyes landed on Remus Lupin staring from the other side of the room. It looked like he was talking to something, yet there was nothing there.

She furrowed her eyebrows, watching as Remus continued to talk to nothing. Was this guy crazy? Because it really seemed like it at this point. She blinked for a few seconds, trying to gather what was happening when James Potter's head popped out. Just his head, with nothing underneath him.

Thalia opened her mouth, merely staring at the boy as his floating head tilted to the side. Remus was still talking to him when he stopped suddenly, his head jerking towards Thalia. She went still for a second, closing her mouth as she stared at him. James looked over at her, following Remus' gaze. When he landed on her his eyes went wide and it looked like he laughed, but Thalia was too far away to hear anything.

It felt like she was hallucinating. She had to be. There was no way she was standing in the same room as Remus Lupin and the floating head of James Potter. She opened her mouth a couple of times, closing it as she decided on what words to use in this situation. Thalia merely closed her eyes, turned around, and headed back down the trap door.

She could feel her heart beating at an irregular pace, her shoes clacking and echoing around the halls as she walked back to the Ravenclaw tower. Her thoughts were racing as she wondered what she just saw up there. Thalia tried over and over again to look at this logically, like some kind of charm, or a simple curse, but she knew James and the rest of them weren't near that advanced. She didn't even know if such a charm existed.

So, as she walked into the common room, she simply changed into her pajama's and situated herself into bed. She dared not think of it for the rest of the night, not wanting to place her brain into overdrive. Yet, she continued to think about it, not so much the floating James situation ( although that was a close second, ) but about how Remus Lupin was in the Astronomy Tower with her. She didn't know how long he stood there, but she hated how oblivious she was. She didn't even hear him come up, didn't hear his footsteps echo around the tower.

Thalia merely sighed and pulled the covers over her head, wanting to forget about the whole thing so she could go back to living her normal life, hating them as she always did. So that's what she did, pretended that everything was normal again. Back to a time where she never thought of them in her dorm, their names never crossed the threshold of her head, and she wanted it to stay that way. For as long as possible. Like they were nothing, a mere speck in her world.

But no matter how hard she tried, Remus Lupin's face crossed her mind. And she sure as hell hated it.
