REMUS COULD barely keep his eyes open as he listened to James and Sirius joke around and tell extravagant stories that they've been told. He got to a part where James said something about a knight when he lost consciousness for a bit. Lily had shook his shoulder to wake him up, nodding her head towards his dorm room.

"I'll come get you when dinner is ready," she said, smiling at him.

"Thanks, Lils," he said, kissing her forehead.

"Hey!" James exclaimed, watching as Remus merely raised his hand as he walked upstairs.

Sirius let out a loud laugh, vibrating the entire common room as Remus walked up the stairs. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, making it messy and unruly. His eyes were downcast as he eyelids felt heavy, no doubt his eyebags were dreadfully dark.

As he stepped up onto the floor of dorms, he noticed a mug sitting in front of his own. This woke Remus up a little bit, allowing him to walk faster towards the offering. As he walked closer to it, he realized that it was the mug that he had accidentally left at Thalia's door.

He picked up the mug and noticed there was a note underneath it, too. Written in delicate cursive. The ink seemed to shine silver in the light, almost like magic ( for lack of a better word ) as Remus read the words on the parchment.

I don't quite like half filled, cold coffee.

Remus smiled a bit at the note, looking around the hallway. How the hell did she even get in? Was he asleep for that long that she just...slipped in? No, someone would have said something. Sirius probably would've flipped and wouldn't have stopped talking about it. He thought about it a bit, thinking of all the ways she could've gotten into the common room. They weren't allowed to apparate within castle walls, there were spells preventing students from performing the spell.

He dropped it, looking back at the note in his hand. Remus ran his thumb over the ink, watching as it shined when he tilted it. He looked at his thumb, inspecting it to see if any leftover ink made it onto his skin. He sighed a bit and shook his head, turning back towards the stairs.

Remus' footsteps pounded against the wood, gaining the attention of the group sitting amongst the furniture. He made eye contact with James, still holding the mug and the note.

"Going somewhere?" James asked, watching as the mouse haired boy try to sneak out of the room.

"Just the kitchens," he replied.

"Again?" Sirius asked, crossing his arms.

Remus hummed, placing his hand on the handle of the common room door. He swung it forward, slipping out of the room.

"I think this is the most I've seen you head out on a weekend," the Fat Lady told him.

Remus turned towards her and smiled a bit. "Isn't that a good thing?"

"I suppose..." She trailed off, watching as Remus made his way through the hallways.

He had made this walk not moments before, wiped out and confused. He was still wiped out and confused, just a little more amused. Thalia Frilio had a way of riling people up, and she definitely knew how to rile up the Marauders. It was like a life goal for both of them to see who would stop first. Who would crack under the pressure. Remus secretly knew it would be them. His guess was that Sirius would end up doing something stupid and land them in a bad situation. But only time would tell.

Remus had finally made it back to the kitchen, tickling the pair and walking in. It was around lunchtime at this point, the elves working to get food out on the tables. "Mr. Lupin!" A squeaky voice said.

He looked down and saw Annie again, smiling at the elf.

"Hello, Annie. I have a quick request," he said, handing her the mug. "Would you mind making another cup of coffee for me?"

Annie nodded her head vigorously before she ran off, putting coffee into the mug before scampering back over to him. She handed him the cup and wished him a goodbye as he slipped out the door, shutting it behind him. Quickly, he conjured up a piece of parchment and writing something down on it.

Smirking lightly to himself, he made his way up to the Ravenclaw common room. He didn't quite know how he was going to get into the room without being noticed, but that was the least of his problems. The one person he was seeing he knew wouldn't be out there.

As Remus made his way into the common room again, he was met with the stair of a few Ravenclaws. Averting his gaze, he made his way up the dormitory stairs, snaking his way down the hallway until he reached Thalia's door. He placed the offering down in front of it and hid in a corner, making sure he was out of sight. Pulling out his wand, he conjuring another spell to knock on the door, quickly trying to blend into the wall.

Thalia opened her door and looked around again before her gaze landed on the steaming cup of coffee. Remus watched as her face went slack, picking it up before she read the note. She sighed and placed the coffee cup down on the ground, taking the note inside before she shut the door again. Remus' face dropped a little bit at the rejection of his gift - if you could even call it that.

His heart had been beating fast, waiting in anticipation for her to take the coffee cup inside, maybe smiling a little as she did so. Until he remembered the key detail in why she didn't do that.

Because Thalia Frilio hated Remus Lupin.
