"I CAN'T believe he let you keep the sweater," Marya said.

"I cant believe you ripped it," Celina said, eyeing the little rip in the sleeve.

Thalia smirked and laughed a bit, staring down at the sweater she was wearing. She had caved and decided to wear the sweater, considering it was supposed to be cold today. She couldn't deny it either, the sweater was quite comfortable and warm.

The girls were all walking down the school hallways enjoying the Sunday before they had to start classes again. It's nice spending time with them, Thalia thought. It had been awhile since she hung out with just her roommates, most of the time it was just her and Maeve.

"Who's that?" Celina asked, eyeing someone in front of her.

Thalia looked up and spotted a tall girl with raven colored hair walking with none other than Remus Lupin. Her expression easily went stony as she watched the girl pull Remus along. They were both smiling at each other having an easy conversation. Until Thalia and Remus' eyes met. His expression dropped for a second before he looked away and smiled again, watching the girl in front of him.

Thalia's eyes shut and she let out a breath, letting her arms drop as well as her head. There it is. The move on. The forget she exists. The fall for the complete opposite. The let down. She always knows it's coming, how could she not? It was inevitable at this point.

You did it to yourself.

"Yikes..." Celina said, watching the couple retreat down the hall.

There was a smacking sound and a slight yelp as Marya smacked Celina's shoulder, glaring and shaking her head as she gestured towards Thalia.

You're unlovable.

Marya placed an arm around Thalia's shoulders, placing her head on her arm. "Hey, let's go to the kitchens okay? We can go and make those lavender pastries that you love so much," Marya smiled.

Thalia attempted a smile back and nodded her head, following her two friends as they made their way towards the fruit bowl painting. They took their time walking to the kitchens, talking about anything other than what just happened. It felt nice, not having to talk about the Marauder's all the time.

Celina tickled the pear and watched as a doorknob appeared, letting the girls open the door and step inside the bustling kitchen. Thalia always felt comfortable in here.

"I'll go tell one of the house elves," Marya said, walking away. Thalia and Celina nodded as they made their way over to a little table and sat cross legged on the floor in front of it.

Celina grabbed Thalia's hand, rubbing her thumb over the tops of her knuckles. "Hey, don't worry about Lupin, okay?"

Thalia smiled a bit and nodded her head, staring down at their intertwined hands. Celina's hands were always warm, Marya like to call them her "healing hands." That's when Celina decided that's what she was going to do, be a healer.

"Ah, Miss Frilio! Miss Larke! What a surprise to see you here. Mr. Lupin and Miss Birch were just here, Norin was surprised to see Mr. Lupin without Miss Frilio..." Norin trailed off, placing a finger on his chin.

"Hello, Norin," Celina said, smiling at the elf. Norin smiled back and walked forward a bit, placing his hands behind his back.

"What can Norin help you with?" He asked.

"Three cups of tea would be lovely," Celina said, still holding onto Thalia's hand.

Norin nodded and walked off, prancing around the kitchen as he grabbed everything that he needed. Thalia smiled a bit at the elf, missing her own back home. Well, what used to be her home.

Thalia sighed and closed her eyes, fingering the hem of the sweater that still hung onto her torso. She should take it off.

He never wanted you.

She did just that. In one swift motion Thalia took the sweater off, leaving her in her maroon long sleeve turtleneck. She was going to be freezing when she walked back outside.

"Here, Tal," Marya said, placing the tray of lavender pastries in front of them. Thalia smiled at the pastries, remembering when her aunt made them for her when she was little. Merlin she missed that.

"Thanks, Mar," Thalia said, taking one off of the tray and taking a bite of the corner. They were still warm and flakey, with pieces of sugar coating the top.

You don't deserve them.

Thalia swallowed, a shiver running up her spine at the words echoing in her head.

I know.

She closed her eyes for a second, taking another bite of the pastry as she tried collecting herself. She was okay. She was enough. She deserved what she has. With a sigh she opened her eyes and reached out for her tea cup, taking a sip as she brought it up to her lips.

"We didn't have any potions homework, right?" Marya asked, staring at the pastries in front of her.

"Yeah, an essay," Celina replied, taking a sip of her own tea.

"You're joking."

"Afraid not, my love."
