THALIA'S HEAD popped up at the sound of the knock at her door. Her quill hovered above the paper of her unfinished letter - waiting to be sent. She waited a couple more seconds before she set down her quill and walked over to her dorm door, opening it and looking around the hallway. She could hear the sound of footsteps and the loud sound of the Ravenclaw door closing.

Thalia sighed and stepped out a little more, her foot colliding with something. She looked down and saw the plate full of food as well as a half full cup of coffee. Her eyebrows raised at the sight of the food, but her eyes lingered on the coffee cup. Maeve knows Thalia hates coffee, so it obviously wasn't her. Maeve knew Thalia wasn't going to breakfast either...

Lupin.

She closed her eyes for a second before she picked up the food and mug, taking it inside with her. She inspected the food, making sure nothing was tampered with before she was satisfied. There were fried eggs, bacon, hash browns, and 2 pieces of toast. Thalia's eyes looked at the cup again, looking at the Hogwarts crest printed on the side. It had the 4 house colors as well as the emblems on them, not quite printed, but not quite a sticker either.

Thalia pushed the thought into the back of her mind as she picked up a piece of toast, biting into it. Her thoughts ran rampant for a second, wondering why Remus had taken it upon himself to bring her food. She had blown up on him after all, spilled her dirty secrets. She had wondered if he had figured it out. Thalia assumed he had, Remus had always been the brightest out of his group of friends ( minus Lily Evans, but she didn't like being associated with the Marauders. )

With one last glance at the mug Thalia sighed, fiddling with the fork on her plate. She quickly grabbed her wand and made her way out of the Ravenclaw Tower, coffee mug in hand. She didn't know if her plan was going to work, considering it was a Saturday, but she had to try.

Thalia didn't even know why she felt the need to go to the Gryffindor common room. She didn't know why she didn't just leave the mug outside for one of the house elves to pick up. But, here she was, returning the coffee mug to its, probably sleep deprived, owner.

There were students wandering the halls in their normal clothes, chatting to each other as they walked about. They seemed happy, smiling and laughing with each other as they exchanged secrets and gossip. Thalia's chest tightened for a second before she tore her gaze away from the students, focusing on the mission at hand.

She didn't quite know how she was going to get into the Gryffindor common room unnoticed, there was bound to be at least a couple of people sitting in there. Breakfast was over at this point and there wasn't anything going on today. Thalia racked her brain for some type of idea before she remembered a specific passageway that lead through each common room.

There was a legend throughout the students at Hogwarts that a group of friends were all placed into different houses. Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor. Not being aloud to come as they pleased, the students all made a series of tunnels that lead into the dorms of each house, going in and out, unnoticed by the paintings and any teachers.

Thalia, being naturally curious, had found the tunnels. She was only in her second year at the time, and she made Maeve go with her, too. They found themselves in the deep-set tunnels of the castle, maneuvering their way through common rooms to pull pranks. Thalia smiled lightly at the memory, quickly changing her route to a specific painting on the wall.

It housed a young lady carrying a basket full of flowers. Her hair was blonde with lavender ribbons holding her plaits together as well as a matching dress. She was always nice to Thalia and Maeve, always wanting to know what sorts of trouble they were going to get into at the time.

As Thalia approached the painting, she noticed the magenta haired girl walking towards her and immediately smiled. "Ah! If it isn't my favorite student. With new hair, too!" She said, her voice cheery.

Thalia smiled and waved at the portrait, stopping in front of her. "Hello, Evie!" She greeted, watching the girl.

Evie bent down to be eye level with Thalia, setting her basket down next to her. "Did you need inside?" Evie asked, gesturing behind her.

"If that's not too much of a problem."

"Of course it isn't! I love seeing what you're up to," Evie said, swinging open slightly so Thalia could go inside.

"Thank you, Evie!" She said, quickly stepping inside.

"Don't get caught!" She said before closing.

Thalia was immediately enveloped into the darkness, the only sounds heard were the echos of the paintings talking to each other. Thalia reached into her pocket and pulled out her wand, whispering, "lumos." Her wand lit up the tunnel, allowing Thalia to finally see. She began walking, making her way towards the Gryffindor dorms.

Her eyes followed the harsh lines of the stone, waiting for the sign that read 'Gryffindor Pride.' Thalia rolled her eyes at the nicknames the group gave each house. Gryffindor was pride, Ravenclaw was knowledge, Hufflepuff was selflessness, and Slytherin was troublemakers. Thalia hated the stupid nicknames, she always saw them as stupid.

Even when she was 12, she hated the fact that Ravenclaws were just knowledgeable. She wanted to show people the she could be all 4, prideful, smart, selfless, and mischievous. Her dreams were quickly crushed when her family disowned her, leaving her on her own at the age of 11.

Thalia pushed her thoughts away as she reached the Gryffindor sign, turning towards it and finding herself at a door. She opened it and peaked out, finding a line of dorms. She quickly stepped out and shut the door behind her, searching the doors until she found Remus Lupin written in sharp handwriting.

She placed the coffee mug down as well as a note, slipping it underneath the mug. She admired her work for a second before booming laughter came from the common room. Thalia turned her head towards the sound and realized there were footsteps coming up the stairs, too. Her heart skipped a beat as she rushed over to the tunnel door, stepping inside.

Thalia managed to shut the door before she was caught and she sighed in relief, sinking against the door for a second. She could hear the faint sound of footsteps before they stopped, pausing for more then a few seconds before she heard another door shut. She released a breath and tried to calm her heart, walking down the tunnel again.

Lupin is going to be the death of me.
