Y/N POV

I heard the faint sounds of beeping and I could feel someone squeezing my hand. I slowly opened my eyes. I looked around the room and I remembered that last place I was, was in my apartment. With a dead...dead...m...
"Y/N." I heard someone say. My thoughts went away and I turned my head. I saw Steve looking at me with hopeful eyes and I loving smile.
"Steve." I smiled.
"Yeah, it's me Y/N. How are you feeling?" He asked.
"I've been better, my leg hurts a lot though." I sighed and leaned my head against the back of the bed.
"I'll go find a doctor and see if I can find something for your pain." He said.
"Thank you." I smiled. He stood up and began to walk away.
"Steven grant Rogers." I yelled playfully. He spun to look at me, with concern. I only call him by his full name, if something is very wrong.
"What?" He asked with a bit of cautiousness in his voice.
"You were gonna leave, without giving me a kiss." I smirked. His shoulders relaxed and he sighed.
"Sorry." He smirked. He came to me and cupped my cheek in his hand. His other one behind the back of my neck. Our lips touched and I felt all my pain slip away for a moment. I closed my eyes and pulled him closer to me. Our kiss was passionate and loving. He moved first to breath, and I missed his presence immediately.
"Thank you captain." I winked.
"You just love to tease, don't you." He smirked and gave me one last peck on my lips, before leaving to find a doctor. I slumped into the bed and I heard the door open and two police men walked in.
"Hello?" I asked confused. I sat up in my bed and pulled the blanket higher.
"Hi Y/N. I'm officer Curtis, this is officer Daniel. We are here to ask you a few questions." Curtis said.
"About what?" I asked
"About your friend Mason." Daniel sighed
All these thoughts of our fight came flooding in my mind and I...I killed him. At least I think I did, I mean when I fell unconscious he stopped breathing.
"Is he alive?" I whispered. They both looked at me with sad faces and shook their heads. I started to cry.
Yeah he wasn't nice anymore, but my best friend. Someone I was I close with and shared so many memories with. I killed. He's dead and I couldn't do anything about it. Steve walked back into the room. To see me crying and two officers. He glared at them and rushed over to me.
"Are you alright?" He asked. I could see the care and concern in his eyes. I nodded my head, but I knew he didn't believe me.
"What did you say to her!" Steve said angrily to the cops.
"Please calm down sir." Daniel said, with fear in his eyes.
"No! Someone explain to me why my girlfriend is crying and your not doing anything to help her?" He said. I grabbed Steve's hand and he looked at me pained.
"They just told me that Mason is dead." I sighed. Steve's face went into remorse and held knelt down and looked at me.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"It's alright." I smiled and wiped away my tears. "But I have a question?"
"What?" Steve asked.
"Who found me?"
Steve looked at me confused. "I didn't." He looked over to the cops and they shook their heads.
"I did." Nat said, as she entered the room.
"Nat? You found me?" I asked. "Why were you at our apartment?"
"I was supposed to do a quick check of the place, to see if anything got missed and when I walked through the front door, I saw you lying on the ground in a pile of blood." She said.
"Oh..." I sighed. "Well thank you Nat." I smiled.
"Your welcome Y/N." She smiled back, I motioned her over and we gave each other a big hug.
"If it's alright. We still have questions to ask miss Y/N." Officer Daniel interrupted.
"Okay." I said, with slight force. He ruined the moment me and Nat were having. She left the hug and walked out of the room. Steve kissed my forehead and left the room as well.
"What do you want to know?" I asked.
"Anything you will tell us about Mason. He was a criminal." Cutis sighed.
"Yeah I know he was a criminal, you don't have to inform me again." I hissed, I was just pissed off and I didn't want to talk to anyone. They both looked at me, waiting for me to continue.
"He was a normal man and than I started dating someone and he flipped out. He started to become super creepy around me and I left him. Than one day he came to my office and hurt me quite badly. Steve took care of him and than now this last night, he was in my apartment and he attacked me. So in self defence I killed him." I said. They both nodded their heads and wrote stuff down.
"Did he ever talk about being apart of something?" Curtis asked
"What do you mean?"
"To sun it up, Did he ever talk about Hydra?" Daniel said.
"Wait! Hold on! Mason worked for Hydra?!" I yelled in disbelief.
"Yes, We found out last night. Turns out, he came to your apartment to kill you and failed. But he had a piece of paper on him." Curtis said. He took something out of his pocket and handed it to me.

"Executive order, Kill Y/N  Y/L/N at all costs." This note read. In the bottom corner was the Hydra symbol.

"What the hell." I mumbled under my breath.
"I'm not answering any more questions." I said, with my teeth a little bit gritted.
"Please...we still have more." Daniel said.
"No!" I said. I'm guessing Steve was listening in, because the door opened with force.
"Captain."
"She's done answering questions, no if you would be so kind and leave." He said. The cops looked at me and nodded their heads in defeat. They left the room and Steve came to my side.
"Did they hurt you or make you uncomfortable, I'll go give them a talking to than." He frowned.
"I'm all good Steve." I smiled and cupped his cheek.
"Me and Nat talked a bit and that flash drive, she thinks she can track where it came from and this assassin that killed fury, they call him the winter soldier." He said.
"Alright. So what's our plan?"
"We want to leave soon and go to the mall to use a laptop there."
"Okay, so does that mean I can leave the hospital than?"
"Yes, The doctors say you have a fast healing rate, so your good to go." He smiled.
"Great!" I smiled.
"Let's go catch this ghost."
