Chapter 15

Y/N POV
I pulled away from the hug first and slumped back down Into my chair.
"So Kate can you tell me what happened? Unless it's to much..."
"No it's not." She sighed. I held out my hand and she grabbed it. We both smiled.
"I was out with my friends after a night at the club. Afterwards we were walking down the street and we all very drunk. A man came behind me and pulled me away from my friends. Since no one was in the right mind set, No one noticed that I was taken. There were two men, I was locked in a basement for 6 days. I was beat up, But they never did anything sexual to me to my surprise. Then they were gonna take me away somewhere. I was put in the truck of a car. We drove until they stopped at a gas station. I woke up and started banging on the roof. A cop was there luckily and I was found." She sighed a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Kate I'm so sorry that happened to you. I wish I would have been there to help." I frowned.
"Well I'm glad your here now, I missed you." She smiled.
"I missed you to." We hugged one more time and than she stared smiling huge and clapping her hands.
"Okay tell me what's new in your life."
"Um, Well I dropped out of college."
"REALLY? Why?" She looked so confused.
"I got a better job."
"Where?"
"Shield." I smiled.
"Like the agency division?"
"Yeah." I giggled.
"No way, So your an agent?"
"Yeah I am." She was smiling so much, it looked like her face was gonna break.
"Okay and did anything else happen?"
"Well maybe I am dating the one and only Captain America." I smirked.
"NO FUCKING WAY!" She yelled.
"Shh, Kate shh." I laughed.
"YOUR DATING CAPTAIN AMERICA? I can't believe it! Ah I'm so happy for you." She smiled. Just than my mother burst through the door. Looking very angry and annoyed.
"What is going on in here?" She grabbed my shoulders and yanked me away.
"Woah calm down mom." Kate said annoyed.
I backed into the wall and just leaned against it as more of my family came in. My phone started buzzing and Steve was calling me.
"Excuse me." I answered it and backed into a corner of the hospital room.

"Hey." I said
"Hey sweetheart."
"What are you calling for?"
"Just wanted to check in."
"Aw."
Just than my mother yelled at Kate. Making me jump and fill with rage.
"What's going on?" Steve asked "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, I'm okay. But I have to go. Bye babe, see you later."
"Alright see you later baby." I could tell in his voice though that he sounded on edge.

"Who was that?" My mother mocked.
"None of your business." I snapped back. I put a peace sign on my leg. That was the signal for me and Kate. For when to keep your mouth shut. She subtly nodded her head and sighed.
"You can go now." My mother said.
"No, You can apologize to Kate first. Than I will leave." I said with a stern voice.
"No Y/N, It's alright."
"No Kate it's wrong for her to yell at you. She can take that out on me. Not you." I walked forward and stood in between them.
"I promise you, Apologize and there will be no issues." I grinned. She visibly gulped and took a step back.
"I'm sorry Kate." She sighed.
"Thank you. Now leave the poor girl alone and let her rest. She's dealt with so much shit. Now I'm gonna go." I turned to Kate. "If you need someone to talk to, I'm here for you. Or if they give you any trouble." I gave my family a glare and smiled at Kate.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"Good day everyone." I huffed and walked out of the room. My body started heating up with adrenaline. How have I gained so much confidence in these past three months. Steve brought something out of me. I drove back to the apartment and as soon as I opened the door. Steve was standing there, Looking concerned as hell.
"Steve?"
"Oh my gosh, Y/N! Your okay." He ran over to me and wrapped me in a hug.
"Yeah Steve I'm fine." I giggled.
"Why did I hear yelling?"
"I went to visit my sister in the hospital and since my mother is a terrible person she started yelling at Kate. Because I went to see her before my mother could." I sighed. Saying that sounded so ridiculous.
"Oh I'm sorry that happened. But I just heard yelling and I quickly left the office and rushed home to make sure you were okay." He kissed my forehead.
"Aww Steve." I kissed his soft lips and he wrapped his hands around my back.
"I'm sorry that I got you scared." I frowned.
"It's alright." He chuckled. We kissed one more time.
"I have to get back to work. See you later Sweetheart." He kissed my forehead and left the room.
"Bye." I smiled. The door shut and I flopped down on the bed. I stared at the ceiling and started to drift off to sleep. When I woke up it was five o'clock.
Well I was hoping to have a power nap and I had three and half hour long nap. I groggily got out of bed and walked into the living room. I wanted to be more comfy. So I ransacking Steve's closet and threw one of his shirts, that were bigger and the not the tight ass ones he wears. I put on shorts and the shirt covered them. I poured my self a glass of a wine and sat on the couch. I knew Steve would be coming home soon. I turned on the tv and rested my feet on the coffee table. I pulled my favourite grey fuzzy blanket over me. I heard the door open and a bag hit the floor.
"Babe?" I heard him yell.
"In here!" I yelled back. I heard him walk in and he came up behind me, he wrapped his arm around me and kissed me.
"Hey." He smirked.
"Hey." I smiled. "How was your day?"
"Ohh you know the usual." He said as he took off his jacket and walked into the kitchen.
"I mean I had to train some newbies. But antsy it!" He yelled from the kitchen. He flopped down beside me on the couch, now holding a beer. I cuddled up to him and he wrapped his arm around me.
"Sounds like you had a fun day." I smiled and I took of sip of my wine.
"What about you?"
"After I left, I fell asleep and than woke up ten minutes before you came home." I giggled.  He just started laughing and took a sip.
"Eventful day."
"Yeah a very exciting one." I chuckled.
"What do you wanna do for supper?" He asked
"Um, I'm not that hungry. But what ever you want. I'll eat." I said. He just kissed my cheek.
"Your perfect, you know that right?"
"Steve..."
"You are." He smiled. I grabbed cupped his face and kissed him.
"Thank you Steve. Your pretty Perfect to." I giggled. He placed his hand on his heart in a playfully way.
"Wow." He said in a sarcastic manner. Causing us both to laugh.
"I could make us some pasta if you want?"
"Sure." He smiled. I stood up and I felt his eyes staring at me.
"You look hot." He bit his lip. I remembered that I was wearing his shirt and chuckled.
"Oh this." I smirked
"Yeah, It looks cute on you." I smiled and walked into the kitchen. Tonight was the night I was gonna tell Steve Rogers that I loved him.
