Chapter 28

We were now driving down the highway, as Jasper complained the whole way back to Shield.
"No you can't take me back there. I'm gonna get arrested....." Before Jasper could finish his sentence someone yanked him out of a window and threw him into an oncoming truck.
"WHAT THE HELL?" I yelled. Sam hit on the breaks and the man on top of the car flew off the car and his arm scraped into the highway. I looked closer to see it was a metal arm, he slowly stood up, a mask and goggles covering his face. Nat pulled out a gun to shoot him, but someone rammed our car from behind, making her fly up to the front console and drop her gun.
"Shit." She huffed. The man in front of us pulled out a gun and the car behind us, began driving us forward. Sam tried giving steer away but to no avail, the man jumped on top the car, his body sprawled across the roof. We continued to drive forward and Sam managed to steer us away. But the man on top, punched through the windshield and ripped out the steering wheel.
"Shit!" Sam yelled. We continued to be pushed forward and the man was now on the truck that was pushing us.
We rammed up a wall and I saw Steve pick up his shield.
"Hold on!" He yelled. He gripped Nat close to him and Sam grabbed onto Nat. This whole fisaco caused me to fly into the back of the car. So I didn't have a chance to grip onto Steve. When he burst through the door with everyone without me. I ended up using my powers to camouflage, but after reading for so long, I was able to turn into a ghost like person. I faxed through the car and landed on the pavement hard as the car flipped over and it landed on its roof.
I rolled over and used my hand to raise my body. I looked over in the car to see the metal arm man pointing a gun at Steve and Nat. I quickly ducked and he shot a grenade and I watched as Steve flew through the air.
"STEVE!" I screamed out in pain. I ran over to the edge of the bridge and saw a flipped over bus. But I didn't have a chance to react when gun fire started to shoot my way. I ducked behind the car again and covered my head as gun fire hit the gun at rapid speeds. I began to run away from them, my head still ducked. I grabbed the metal rod from my back pocket and I flicked my wrist, making the sword appear. I found a pillar as I was running and I jumped off the highway, bridge. The sword digging into the concrete as I slowly descended to the ground.
I saw Nat began shooting at the metal arm man who was holding a gun and pointing at her. I ran over to the bus and saw Steve's shield lying on the ground. I picked it up and ran into the bus, a man began to file people out of the bus and I pushed by him. I ran to Steve's body and shook his unconscious body.
"Steve, Baby. Please wake up." I yelled. I continued to shake his body again. But nothing.
"I'm sorry." I raised my hand and slapped his face.
"AH!" He screamed as he rose up in a terrified manner.
"Did you....." I just looked down in guilt, I felt terrible for doing that to him. He cupped my cheek and gave me a quick kiss.
"It's alright Pirate." He winked. Suddenly more gun fire started to ran and Steve gripped onto my waist. We hid behind his shield as we began to run out of the bus. We eventually burst through the back window and I tumbled away, and scurried over behind another blue car. Three men continued to shoot at Steve, but he hid his body behind the shield and began running up to them. Sam was shooting some of them from the bridge and I started to run behind the bus. I found a gun shooting at Steve, I snuck behind him and pulled out my sword. I stabbed him through the back and pulled my sword back out of his body. He fell to the ground and I wiped the blood off on my sleeve.
Steve ran over to me and cupped my face and moved my head around.
"Are you okay?" His eyes looks vulnerable and scared. I gave him a quick kiss on his cheek.
"I'm fine Captain." I smirked. We began running towards all the shooting.
We ended up on just a regular street. Metal arm man was standing on top of a car, holding a gun to Nat. Steve ran towards the man and his metal arm punched the shield so loud, a ringing went through the whole air. I ran towards Nat and noticed she was holding her shoulder.
"Oh my gosh are you okay?" I gasped.
"Yeah I'm fine." She gritted through her teeth. She was trying to move and winced.
"Yeah your fine." I said sarcastically. I took off my jacket and ripped the sleeve off my shirt.
"What are you doing Y/N. I'm fine." Nat insisted. I just touched her shoulder and she gasped.
"Yeah your in great condition." I mocked. I tied the ripped sleeve around her shoulder and pulled it.
"Ow!" She yelled.
"Sorry." I sighed in a hurt manner. Nat found a grenade launcher lying on the ground. She picked it up and we both peeked our heads over the car hood.
The metal arm man, turned around so we could see his whole face.
"Is that....." I began
"Bucky?" Steve asked
"Who the hell is Bucky?" He asked and pulled a gun on Steve.
"STEVE!" I yelled. Sam came out of nowhere and kicked Bucky to the ground. When Bucky stood up, he again aimed a gun at Steve. But Nat shot the grenade launcher into a car. It blew up sending Bucky scurrying away. A bunch of swat guys started to swarm around us. All pointing guns. Helicopters started to come into view in the sky. I ran over to Steve, I didn't want him to be alone.
"Y/N, NO!" Steve yelled. I saw Rumlow running at me and he stopped me in my tracks.
"GET ON YOUR KNEES NOW!" He yelled. I dropped my sword and fell to my knees. He roughly put a gun to my head. I watched as they brought Steve to the ground and he looked at me terrified. Just to be an asshole, Rumlow grabbed my shoulders and slammed me to the road.
"Ow!" I cried out.
"HEY! DONT HURT HER!" Steve yelled. I looked at him thrashing around with the swat team.
"Y/N!" Sam called out. I was than roughly picked up again and my arms were put in these weird hand cuffs. That had my whole forearms covered with metal. They placed us in the truck and we were off, most likely to our deaths.
