Chapter 3

Y/N POV
I woke up at 6 am and Mason was still asleep, drool dripping down his face. I giggled to my self and walked into the bathroom. I hopped into the shower and used my favourite body wash, apple cinnamon. I got out and put on my robe. I did my makeup, a cute but serious look. I put my hair up and walked out of the bathroom. Mason was still passed out. As quietly as I could I grabbed my clothes and slipped them on in the bathroom. I put on jeans and a white button up shirt. When I left the bathroom, Mason was standing there.
"Woah hey, You scared me." I giggled and walked by him.
"Sorry." He chuckled. "You seem excited." He smiled.
"Yeah I'm actually really excited." I smiled.
"Well that's good news." He took a seat on the counter.
"Yeah." I giggled. I made my self some coffee and put into a to go cup.
"Okay, Well I don't wanna be late. See you later Mason." I smiled and hugged him.
"Have fun." He chuckled. I grabbed my purse and keys, I hopped into my car and when I got there. The place was flooding with people, way more than last night. When I parked an agent came to my door, He was actually quite handsome. I got out of my car and he stood next to me.
"Hi I'm Andrew." He stuck out his hand, I grabbed it.
"I'm Y/N, nice and to meet you." We both smiled and stood there awkwardly.
"Well let me show you to your office."
"Lead the way." I smiled. We walked inside and he led me down these long corridors, passing lots of agents and plenty of rooms. More than I've ever seen. He stopped walking and stared into a room. There were two desks, One looked already occupied, the other one blank.
"Here, This will be your office. Fury will came by in about an hour to talk to you more." He smiled.
"Thank you so much." I walked into the room and went over to my desk, There was already a sign that had my name on it, sitting at the front. I shut the door and wandered over to the other desk. The sign was no where to be seen on the desk. I continued to walk over to the other side, tracing my fingers across the alpine wood. I wasn't trying to be nosey but I wanted to know who I was going to be sharing an office with. I flipped over a piece of paper and It read Steve Rogers. I gasped in disbelief, I than heard the door shut and my breath started getting heavier.
"Hello?" I heard someone say. I slowly turned around, keeping my hands on the desk. I moved my eyes to meet whoever was in the room and there was Captain Fricken America standing there, hands on belt with a stern look on his face. I felt my body heat up again, Why was I feeling like this.
"Hi." I squeaked out, My cheeks flushed. I have never felt more embarrassed in my life.
"What are you doing in here?" His face still looking confused and mad. But something about those eyes, I couldn't stop staring at them, or him I mean. Look at those arms, That body, wow.
"Ah em." He scoffed. I shook away my thoughts and blushed harder.
"I'm Y/N a new agent for SHIELD." I smiled and held out my hand. He grabbed it and shook it, His grip was soft yet firm.
"I'm Steve Rogers." He smiled softly, His smile was beautiful.
"Nice to meet you." I took my hand back. I cleared my throat, of all the thoughts flowing through my brain.
"Im in here because this is my desk." I pointed to it. I couldn't tell if he was happy or mad that we were gonna share an office. I mean I was happy and terrified.
"Really?" He moved forward until he was only like a foot away.
"Yeah." I cheekily smiled. "Is that a problem?"
"No, Not at all. I've been needing some company. It gets boring in here." He chuckled and I laughed softly.
"Well I'm glad I can be your company." I blushed. Where was the new found confidence coming from, I'm never like this with people.
"Same here." He backed away and sat down at his desk. I moved to mine and I couldn't stop smiling. After an hour Fury walked in.
"Hey Fury." I smiled.
"Hello." He sighed. "Captain can you leave us please." He nodded his head and got up and left the room. I subtly watched him leave.
"So how is your first day going so far?" He sat down in a chair.
"Really good, Everyone is so nice." I smiled.
"Good, I want our newest recruit to feel welcome. Or I would have to fire some people." He looked at me stoned face, I knew he wasn't lying.
"Well we wouldn't want that." I did my best fake laugh. He slightly rolled his eyes and stood up. Way to make a good impression Y/N.
"Well in about 2 hours I expect to see you in the training room, We need to see you use your powers in use. If your okay with that?" He looked at me.
"Yes, I would be happy to. But I don't know where the training room is." I sighed.
"Well Mr Rogers will take you." He left the room and I sat down back into my chair. It really only set in now that I will be spending every day with Steve. I already feel like I am developing something for him. I went back to working and Steve walked back in.
"How was Fury?" Steve asked
"He was good, Is he suppose to be mean?" I laughed.
"Well he's a hard one to get along with." He chuckled.
"Really? He seems like a teddy bear." I said in a sarcastic voice. Steve started laughing and I giggled.
"Shes gonna be great company." He mumbled to himself, But I heard it and smiled.
