Ever since Calum forgetting that it was his birthday, Charlie was letting him relax. And her mother approved of it greatly since there wasn't anything hurled at Charlie for a good 3 weeks. She wasn't used to the distance between her and Calum, but she knew it was for the better. Luke was being a good friend towards her since Calum didn't have her wrapped around his fingers at the moment. In fact, Calum pretty much dropped off the planet after that day. Charlie took a walk around the park with one of the puppies earlier that day. Calum didn't want her to get lonely and let her look after one of them. Luke summoned her home because he wanted to talk to her and it was getting dark. Charlie looked deeply into her puppies eyes immediately missing Calum. The young dog was playful and energetic crawling around in her lap as she talked to Luke. "How is he?"
"I think he's okay for the most part." Luke said and shrugged. "He's driving himself crazy that he thinks that you're hurt."
"Luke," Charlie groaned and flopped back on her bed in frustration. Charlie covered her hands with her face.
"I like it when you say my name like that." Luke said. Charlie wasn't sure if he was joking or not. He was quite flirty with her more often now that Calum wasn't in the way. She wasn't sure if she should be terrified of Luke or surprised that there was a dark side to him.
"I asked you to tell him that I was fine and that nothing is wrong." She uncovered her face and looked at Luke exhaustedly. He smirked.
You see, Luke and Calum hadn't always had a healthy friendship. In fact, it was more of a rivalry than being friends. Calum had seen and witnessed Luke and his dark side. He was crazy and psychotic demanding as well.
Luke used his power to charm and desperate or insecure girls to the fullest of his ability. He had the mysterious factor on his side and he was quite attractive. The thoughts that run through Luke's mind were dangerous. Calum knew what went through his head most of the times.
He was always looking for innocent girls to corrupt. But ever since Calum and Charlie dated, she was the only one that he lusted after. It would only be a matter of time before something inexcusable happened to Charlie.
And she had walked right into a trap. Calum wasn't an obstacle in Luke's way to do whatever he wanted with her. Sure he would have hell to pay with Calum later, but he would be too busy grilling Charlie first. "Ya know,I've never been friends with a 17 year old virgin before." He admitted and his lustful eyes traveled down her body.
He could see himself in between her legs. Charlie screaming his name. Her trembling underneath of him. Luke could see himself touching her. Kissing her. Making love to her. Except it wasn't an act of love.
"What's that supposed to mean?" She questioned him. But Luke was too busy daydreaming.
Luke didn't care that Calum would possibly kill him for what he's done. He would have been satisfied. He knew that Calum wouldn't dare lay a finger on him. Because Calum didn't have a clean slate either.
Calum was just like Luke. They were always craving an innocent girl to corrupt back when his girlfriend died. That relationship was based on a bet anyway. And the only reason why Liv is gone was because of Calum. He had buttered her up weeks before her death.
Calum wasn't a saint either.
"It's supposed to mean that you're special Charlie. And that I would love to take that burden off your shoulders." Luke whispered in her ear and planted a kiss on her neck.
Charlie pushed him away from her in disgust. "Luke. What is wrong with you?" Charlie couldn't lie. She was lonely without Calum and wanted to be shown some form of love. Although she knew in the back of her mind that Luke didn't love her, she couldn't resist the feeling that it gave her.
"I just want to kiss your lips." He admitted sheepishly. Charlie supposed that one kiss couldn't hurt. In fact, she would turn her head to the side and let him kiss her cheek. She took a deep breath and started to lean in. Their faces were inches away from each other. Luke stopped her. "No no." Like grabbed both of her wrists and pinned her underneath of his body. "The ones between your hips." He pressed himself to her.
Charlie knew it was useless fighting Luke. He was stronger and faster and heavier. But that didn't mean that she didn't try. She squirmed underneath of him and tried taking her wrists from the grips of his palms. "Get off of me!" She screamed hoping that someone would be there to hear her. She was a damsel in distress and needed a savior and fast.
"Don't worry princess. I'll make this quick." Luke had already pulled her shirt over her head and he kissed his way down to her waist.
Charlie kicked her legs and screamed loudly crying, hoping, praying for a miracle. "Luke stop please." She cried out begging for him to gain some self control. "Help me!" She screamed louder as he undid her jeans and started pulling them down her legs.
Calum had taken a walk in the Neighbourhood that evening and he was glad he did. Luckily, Charlie left her window open, so anyone could hear what was going on. "Luke stop!" Calum heard the shrill sound of a scream. He instantly knew it was Charlie. Something within him snapped and he ran towards her house. He practically broke in and ran up the steps two at a time trying to get to Charlie.
More screaming sounded as he swung back the door forcefully. The sight before him broke his soul in half. Luke's face was hidden in between her thighs and she screamed louder and louder. He was frozen and watched the whole ordeal go on. "Please stop!" She begged for him to let her go. Calum couldn't believe it.
Calum took action and ran full speed ahead ripping Luke off of Charlie's body. "What the actual fuck are you doing?" Calum screamed as he punched Luke in the face over and over again.
"Eating out your girlfriend. She tastes sweet." Luke licked his lips slowly taunting Calum.
"Shut up!" Calum threw him down and kicked him in the side repeatedly. "You think you had some claim on her? She's mine!" Calum punched him in the face again. If he didn't stop soon, Luke would be unconscious. Calum seethed with rage and kept assaulting him. "Don't you ever forget that she's mine." Calum screamed at Luke one more time. He was satisfied with his terrified screams of pain. His face was bleeding heavily. Charlie was almost sure that Calum smashed him to pieces.
She sat on her bed with tears still in her eyes. Her jaw was dropped as Calum still seethed with rage. His hands twitched like he wanted to break something else. Luke groaned in pain on her floor.
"I'll be back Charlie." Calum threw Luke's limp body over his shoulder and walked out leaving her there.
Charlie broke down and cried because she thought she could trust Luke.
Because she thought he was her friend.
Because she thought that Luke wouldn't ever be this way.
But Charlie was a living lollipop that didn't know a goddamn thing about Calum's friends. Could she trust Ashton? Michael? She was starting to question Calum. Why would he hang out with a guy that commits inexcusable acts with many different girls?
What if Calum was the same way?
Charlie shook her head. Calum couldn't be. He was a puppy dog.
Luke was anything but a gentleman.
He was Luke.
