Girlfriend-A woman/girl/lady who is dating/going out with/going steady with a man/boy/gentleman. A girlfriend should appreiciate and care for her boyfriend and respect him. also treat him how she wishes to be treated.

That was the correct terminology to define Charlie now. She wasn't known as the shy girl that never gets anything wrong at Starbucks. Or the one that is a star student with straight A's. She wasn't known as Charlie Carters anymore. She was always referred to Calum Hood's girlfriend. Calum Hood's plaything. The girl that sleeps with Calum Hood. She's the one that's always by Calum Hood's side. The girl that Calum Hood is with now for at most a week. Apparently, Charlie wasn't ever the type that Calum Hood would be seen with.

To be honest, Charlie wasn't sure how to feel about this reference. The angry, jealous girls were wild and talked about her behind her back. Just because she wears Calum Hood's varsity jacket, she was a slut. Just because she was the girl that came with Calum Hood to school almost every morning, she was a whole and complete thot.

Because practically everyone knows that Charlie Carters is Calum Hood's girlfriend they tried to give her a hard time and always ask her the same question. And to prove that statement true it happened right now. "Whoops!" Phoenix said sarcastically as he practically body checked her making Charlie drop her books. "Sorry kid that was totally all my fault."

"Phoenix?"

"Wait. You're Calum Hood's girlfriend right?" Charlie plastered on a look that said are you kidding me?

"Are you serious right now Phoenix." Charlie bent down to pick up her books and pressed them tightly against her chest as if she could hide behind them. "Why are you acting like such a jerk?"

"Same reason you're sleeping with Calum. Because its entertaining."

"You're supposed to be my friend."

"And you're supposed to be married before sex."

Charlie couldn't get the words out of her mouth before Calum showed up. The look on Charlie's face gave it all away. "Is there a problem here? What did he do to you?" Calum looked into her eyes were such seriousness. She wasn't sure whether or not she should tell him the truth. Charlie looked at Phoenix before looking back to Calum.

"Umm, Nothing happened. We're all good." Charlie nodded at her bullshit excuse letting Phoenix off the hook. If she told Calum what happened, he would probably start a fight.

"Charlie what really happened?"

"He's just like everyone else that goes to this god forsaken school. He's being such an asshole to me. Everyone besides our circle of friends is being a twat."

"Okay well it's the end of the day. Lets go home." Calum took Charlie under his wing, and lead both of them through the crowded hallways.

Later that evening, Charlie stood outside in the moonlight trying to get as far away from her mom as she could. Which isn't a very smart idea. She hid along the many flowers that inhabited The Japanese Tea Garden. No one would have guessed that she would be there especially because Charlie wasn't a breaking and entering type. But technically it isn't breaking and entering if its open. Charlie looked up into the starless sky with hot tears rolling down her cheeks. They dripped into her palms and on her feet as a chilly breeze kissed her skin.

Because of Calum's reckless behavior and him wanting to impress the girl that he was in love with, it was totally the norm for Calum Hood to break into The Japanese Tea Garden to get flowers for this lucky girl. He wandered around to the plum blossoms and wisterias. But nothing goes unnoticed to Calum. His ears strained to hear rustling around the corner and the heartbreaking sound of crying. He followed it to the ball of a girl that was obviously Charlie. "Char? Whats wrong? What happened now." Calum bent down and engulfed her in his arms stroking her hair so she could calm down.

"Why is the world so cruel?" Charlie hiccuped in between her words and cried harder at the pain in her arm. Charlie wasn't entirely sure but she couldn't feel it. She looked at Calum with wide eyes demanding an answer. He exhaled loudly.

"Are you okay Charlie Brown? What happened to you? I don't understand."

"Can we go to the hospital?"

"Why what's wrong?" Calum went into immediate panic mode at Charlie's request. Charlie wouldn't ever ask to go to the hospital if something wasn't serious. So this must be serious.

"I think my arm is broken." Charlie slowed her crying but couldn't ignore the excruciating pain in her arm anymore and cried faster. She thought it was completely unbearable. "Please Calum I can't take this anymore."

Without hesitation he picked her up and carried her bridal style into his car and then the emergency room. "Someone please help my girlfriend." Calum shouted hopelessly at the thought that she was experiencing any pain that he couldn't protect her from. You see, Calum was so attached to Charlie that any pain that she felt he would as well. Knowing that it could be more than just a broken arm, he worried about her constantly. It could be the fact that she's cutting again and she may feel faint because of the loss of blood. She could have stopped eating for whatever reason and she isn't getting her dietary supplements. It could be any possibility. Calum wouldn't want to put her through hell.

After all, she was his girlfriend.
