Leah was a very cool girl, and she insisted on teaching me how to skate. I wasn't great at it, but certainly I did a better job than my brother.
After skating for a while, they decided to go to Burger King, so we got into Dane's car and went to the drive-thru. Jacob had the brilliant idea of doing like those old YouTube videos and ordering by rapping. So, he, Peter and Mike decided to rap and order for all of us. Mason died of embarrassment, and Dane just kept repeating how his friends were idiots. Leah filmed them and then the look on the face of the employee that was giving us our food.
Dane started driving us while we all ate, and no one questioned him where we were going. Only after fifteen minutes driving, Leah asked where we were going. We didn't understand shit when his answer was "the airport". Well, except for Jacob, that was pretty much excited to do anything. Dane said he was tired of the local mall, so we wanted to shop in the airport. We just went with his idea, and soon we were at the airport.
Jacob almost got arrested because, when we were at a store, he put sunglasses on to mess around, but forgot to put it back, so the alarm rang when we got out of there.
Dane started to scream that he was stupid, while Leah tried to talk to the security using the excuse that Jacob had a special condition that made him act like that, when he actually didn't. I don't think Jacob had a big knowledge about 'special conditions', because he started to imitate a robot when Leah said that.
I was trying my best not to laugh at the situation we got ourselves into. Mike didn't even try to hide his laugh, he was cackling in front of the security. Peter just grabbed Mason's sleeve and pulled him away from the confusion, leaving us alone with the security and Jacob's stupidity.
The situation got worse when Dane tried to bribe one of the guards, but Leah slapped his hand away and said that he was joking. After ten minutes of Leah discussing with the security and Jacob pretending to be a robot, they let us go with the condition that we left the airport immediately.
But we needed to find Peter and Mason before we left. Dane insisted for us to just to leave them there, because they didn't stick with us. Leah agreed with him. Jacob didn't even know Peter and Mason had left. Mike was the one who told to us to go find them, and we did.
They were sitting close to another Burger King, eating one more hamburger. Dane almost punched Peter for leaving us, but Leah yelled for him to stop being stupid because she didn't need one more of her friends almost being arrested.
Soon, Dane wasn't mad at Peter anymore. I guess they were friends for so long that they were unable to keep angry at each other for a long time.
While we were leaving, an old woman came to us and started to ask a bunch of questions in Spanish, a language neither of us spoke. So Jacob started to speak sign language, which was pointless, since the woman wasn't deaf or mute, she just spoke Spanish.
I didn't know what was more surprising: Jacob being so stupid at the point of thinking sign language was the solution, or the fact that he knew how to speak sign language. In which case, the woman yelled something at us with a very angry expression and left, probably noticing we were useless.
After that, it was practically night, but we decided to go to Dane's house before calling it a day. Despite only knowing them for a day, I already felt pretty close to them. I don't know if it was because they acted like they already knew me for years, or because they were so nice and fun to be around, or even because I knew how accepting they were.
Peter was a little reluctant towards me in the beginning, probably because of the things Jack had done to his boyfriend, but soon he started to act normally, probably noticing I wasn't like Jack and didn't really know what my "friend" had been doing.
