The next morning was a little chilly- the after effect of the heavy rainstorm last night left the trees well hydrated, the leaves glistened as the sun started to shine on them.

Elena woke up early and was unable to sleep. She felt a little strange and remembered last night- she stretched out and smiled, looking down at her stretched hand with a diamond popping out from her flawless skin- she smiled, she will be Mrs. Alejandro Velez! It felt like a dream- who would've thought that her dream will come true- everything she dreams of in a man, Alejandro has it. She loves him, no doubt about that.

She lazily got up and went into the bathroom to brush her teeth and take a quick shower.

It feels odd to be sleeping next to his room and what happened last night is a glimpse of what her life is with him- and more, when they finally share one bedroom!

She felt her cheeks flushed, she is blushing with the thought of last night!

She loves Alejandro and there was nothing wrong with what they did, what's wrong is if she does it for the money and it wasn't- they both love each other and they want to be intimate because of love- not purely because of LUST.

She took off her pajamas and slid inside the shower- the water was warm- just enough for her to let the water flow on her and flush away the worries hidden inside her.

She can't help it- marrying into a rich family especially with her status is not something that is easily forgotten- she still in some ways, need to learn how it is to go along with their ways, and not appear clueless, she may be poor and didn't finish school, with nothing much to boast but her pride, yet she is street smart and not gullible.

After her shower she got dressed wearing a below the knee printed black maxi dress and layered with a 3/4 sleeved cardigan.

She opened the window and saw the driver Dindo washing one of the cars and Rowena chit chatting with him. She immediately closed the window, she didn't want to give them the impression she was eavesdropping when she is not.

She heard a knock on the door, "Alejandro..." she thought.

She opened it and was surprised to see his Mom instead.

"Good morning ho," she politely said.

"Good morning hija, how did you sleep? I hope you were comfortable?" she asks.

Elena smiled and opened the door wider, she wasn't sure if she should invite her in or if she wants to go in.

"It was great, I had a good night sleep po," Elena said.

"Great to hear that..I assume Alejandro is still sleeping..napasarap siguro ang tulog it's been a while since he was here..thank you Elena for bringing my son back...here," she said.

"Ho? Si Alejandro ho ang gustong umuwi, I'm sure na-miss nya ho kayo busy lang talaga siguro," Elena said.

"No, ikaw ang rason hija. He was hinting about a surprise visit but never did- eventually he did and I was happy and surprised, happier coz nakikita ko naman na masaya sya dahil sayo Elena...salamat," she said meaningfully.

"Ho..ah sige na nga ho. Pasok ho pala kayo dito sa room...gusto nyo bang gisingin si Alejandro?" she said awkwardly. She didn't expect her to be really nice to her.

"No, actually I came here just to say thank you and make sure na comportable ang stay mo dito, you should get used to this life, hija. I smell wedding bells.." she said, Elena wasn't sure if she knew that Alejandro proposed or if she has any inkling at all.
