Chapter 19 : "The Air is Cleared"

"Goddamnit! Stupid! Stupid!" he was referring to himself. He knew he would mess it up and he did! Now she thinks he is married and wants her as a mistress! He didn't know whether to laugh or be pissed about it.

Why did she even think of it! His wordings and proposal was all wrong!!

 

Why didn't he just outrightly say he wants her for himself, he likes her that's why he wants her to stop dancing. Why was it hard for him to admit that he is crazy about her? What am I thinking? Did I just say I'm crazy about her?

Well, what other explanations does he have for feeling and acting this way?

He shook his head as he continue driving. He messed it up really bad and now he didn't know if he can correct himself, she might not even want to see or even talk to him!

He could have just offered to help her especially now, now that her mother is in the hospital and it looks like she really needs help.

 

It was a wrong move- his fault for not knowing how to woo a woman. He was used to getting what he wants because any woman would gladly be with him- except Elena. She was even the first to slap him!

She is an extraordinary woman, he thought. Now what will he do next?

He parked his car and walked towards the elevator so he can go home and rest. He has to forget about Elena or any other woman tonight, he needs all his focus on the meeting tomorrow.

He took a sleeping pill so he can sleep better.

Elena wiped her tears away and started getting ready. She took a quick shower and told Daniel to lock the door. She told him she will go to the hospital aftet her set and that Joanna and Miguel will be home as soon as she gets back to the hospital.

Trying to forget the incident with Alejandro, she knew she has better things to worry about. A man is the least of her concerns right now. An insult from him won't kill her but worrying about her mother's condition might.

She took a taxi to the club and as soon as she got there asked if she can see their manager. She wanted to ask if she can get a loan, in case she needed more money for her mother's operation.

She was only allowed to borrow twenty thousand, nothing more. She knows it is not much but it will help somehow.

Her manager even asked her to take off tonight so she can go back to the hospital, they know her mother well so they understand the situation. She was thankful and said she will make it up as soon as her mother is better.

Even Dina and some of the otherdancers and workers at the club promised to collect some money to help her out. Elena was very thankful to everyone.

She went to the hospital directly from the club. As she got inside the taxi speeding away from the club, Alejandro's car just parked to see Elena's set tonight.
