Chapter 7: "Online Connection?"

With coffee in hand, he set it down on his desk on top of a coaster and turned his computer on.

He took his coat off and sat on his swivel chair. With his finger he touched his chin waiting for the screen to come up.

He called Pam on the intercom and asked her if she can tell him what his schedule is for today.

She came in and showed his shedule.

He has meeting with Franco tonight, that's it.

She also gave him a pile of folders.

"Those are the merger files, and you have to sign some papers also," she said to him.

He looked up at her smiling, "Thanks Pam- I'll let you know as soon as I am done signing the papers ok?" he said as he clicked on the safari browser on his desktop.

"Okay.." she said and headed out his office, she looked at him as she wonders what's with him this morning. He looked like giddy or something she thought.

She shook her head as she got to her desk.

Alejandro checked on the website and logged in.

He checked her profile again, last log in was yesterday. He felt kinda disappointed.

He has more winks but chose to ignore them.

"Damn! Why do I get excited waiting for her message?" he thought, he knows he will get a mobile notification as soon as he gets a message from the site.

He closed the browser and checked on the pile of folders infront of him.

He reviewed them, signed some and puts post it "for review" for those he needs to check more on.

He stood up and went out of his office.

"Are you heading out?" Pam asked as soon as she saw him heading out, although he wasn't wearing his coat on which is unusual especially if he was to go out.

"No,Pam-- I was just going to the pantry to get myself another cup of coffee. You want one?" he asked her.

Pam smiled, "...something's up alright," she thought.

"Oh,no-- do you want me to get it instead?" she asked him.

Odd he doesn't really go to the pantry.

"It's okay..I know where it is, I'll give you a break besides I can use a little exercise." he said then headed to the pantry which is on the other side of their office.
