Chapter 50 "The Engagement Party"

Alejandro held Elena’s hand as they walked towards the marina. Alejandro discreetly texted Pam that they just arrived so she was at the foot of the Bellissima ready to welcome them.

She was smiling widely and said, “Welcome to Bellissima Ms. Elena, Boss...”and nodded to Elena’s family urging them to climb up the yacht.

Alejandro said, “Thank you Pam. Come..babe.Let’s go in...Pam, ikaw na ang bahala kina Tita okay? Is Mom here?” he asked remembering his mother.

“Sure, follow me po...” referring to Elena’s family and said, “She is not here yet boss, I asked someone to fetch her already and they should be here anytime soon,too.”

“Babe, welcome to Bellissima..I never thought I would bring someone here, at least not this soon..but I am glad you are that someone I am bringing here for the first and last time,” Alejandro said eyeing Elena lovingly.

Elena didn’t know what to say, she always wanted to be in a yacht, but she didn’t think it would be for her own engagement party. Teary eyed, she looks up to Alejandro and squeezed his hand that held hers tightly, “I love it Alejandro, salamat...this is such..a lovely setting for our...” she stopped herself. She can’t say it yet until Alejandro announces it, even if it was just the two of them at the Captain’s cabin, but she still doesn’t want to assume. Alejandro told her it was for his Mom’s party, she can’t be sure if it was their engagement party,too.

“Babe, I am glad you love it, wait until you see the top where everything is..wait, here is the gown I asked Pam to get you for tonight, not that I don’t like what you are wearing, but this one here is perfect,” as he took a long rectangular box and opened it.

It is an elegant blue evening dress made of silk chifon fabric, the basque waist bodice features a strapless, sweetheart neckline set above a fabulous bead covered bodice. The empire is wrapped in silk chiffon accented by a set of brooches above the trailing ends of the faux wrap bodice that opens up down the front to reveal the sheath style floor length skirt with front slit. The back and sides are wrapped in sheer chiffon that create a stunning train.

Elena gasped as she lay her eyes on the evening dress. It was perfect, but the slit in front will obviously show her legs.

“Don’t you think it is too sexy for me to wear that tonight Alejandro?” she said hesitant to take the dress although she loved it.

“No, it is perfect. Sometimes it is okay for you to show how beautiful and sexy you are Elena, and I am in the mood to flaunt you tonight, Mrs. Soon-to-be Alejandro Velez?”  he said as he kissed her forehead gently and handed the dress to her.

Elena blushed, she still can’t get used to the idea that she, Elena formerly “The Maiden” who used to be a dancer, who only dreamt of this scene several times a day in her mind before,  now will become the lucky soon-to-be-wife of Alejandro Velez!

She took the dress and asked Alejandro to turn his back so she can get into the dress.

Alejandro chuckles, “Okay, I think that’s a good idea, I may not control myself if I see you in your basking glory Elena, let me know when it is safe to turn,” he said, with an obvious amusement in his voice.

Elena slipped her dress off and puts on the blue evening dress, it seems like the dress was made for her indeed, it fits perfectly, she turned around and felt the silk hugging her curves, her flawless legs visible in front with the slit.

“Okay, you can look now..” she said.

Alejandro already knew how beautiful Elena is, but the dress made her more stunningly beautiful, he gasped and swallowed hard, “Elena...wow!  I am lost for words...I love it! I am a proud husband-to-be. I can’t wait to peel that dress off you...opppps. I’m sorry. I mean take you in my arms and introduce you to everyone officially,” he said with a nervous laugh, as he pulled her close holding her on the slim of her waist.

Elena looked up, “I love you Alejandro, I am yours..when we are one, I promise, you can do whatever you want with me. Without hesitations..and I, to you.”

Alejandro’s heart was filled with so much love but he is just a man, and Elena is a very sensual, beautiful, woman. He has the urgent need to take her, right here, right now. But no, he can wait. His needs are second to the feeling he has for her. He can wait.

He swallowed several times and cleared his throat before asking Elena to go back out and to the top of the yacht.

“Come...let’s go and meet everyone. Maybe Mom is here,too.”

Elena took his hand and smiled, equally disappointed they can’t just stay inside and be with each other, she doesn’t like parties. She would rather be with Alejandro, alone - just the two of them. But well, they have a party to attend to, theirs.

"Wow ang ganda naman nitong mga damit na'to Ms. Pam..kailangan ba talaga naming magpalit ng damit?" Joanna asks.

"Oo eh, medyo semi-formal kasi tonight. I hope kasya sa inyo yan. Si Sir Alejandro lang ang pumili nyan para sa inyo.." Pam said.

"Ah ineng, Pam ikamo ang pangalan mo noh? Salamat ha, pero baka ma-out of place kami mamaya kahit ganito ang suot namin, alam kong mayayaman ang mga nandidiyan ngayon ah,"Aling Emmanuela said.

"Opo, Pam nga po..ay wag ho kayong magalala Aling Emmanuela.Mababait naman yang mga yan especially Sir Alejandro. "

"Oo alam namin mabait si Kuya Alejandro, pero ano naman kaya yong mga rich friends nya, baka matapobre," Daniel said.

"Heh basta wag lang tayong magkalat,huwag niyong ipapahiya si Ate Elena, lalo na si Kuya Alejandro, okay?" Joanna added.

They all agreed and finished changing their outfits.

Alejandro showed Elena around the yacht before they finally reached the top, where the party is going to take place. There were white tulips everywhere, some blue and silver balloons in every corner of the yacht, the ambience is both fun yet tranquil. The guests are slowly arriving, the hired waiters/waitresses to the event with the caterer were busy serving the hors d'oeuvre, some cocktails and drinks.
