Alejandro saw his mom walking with Pam towards their direction. Alejandro smiled as he held Elena's hand to welcome her.
"Welcome Mom! Do you like Bellissima? Isn't she beautiful? Although you and Elena look more beautiful tonight," Alejandro said as he embraces his Mother and then proudly looks back at Elena.
"Hello Tita, ang ganda nyo po.." Elena mused and kisses her cheek as greetings.
Dona Ramona smiled, "Thanks hija. Ikaw din, you are like a butterfly. Your beauty transforms every time."
Elena smiled shyly uncertain what to reply.
Alejandro then invited them to a table and asked one of the waitresses to bring them a bottle of wine.
"So Mom, I can do a tour of the yacht now if you want or we can do it later after the party," Alejandro said.
"That's not necessary right now. I don't want to take you away from your beautiful girlfriend and your invited guests..by the way I invited Francine, remember her? She is in Manila for a vacation and we chanced on each other at the spa I frequent so she should be here, I hope you don't mind Elena. Francine is a family friend.." she said.
"Ah I haven't seen her yet, the last I saw her was when she was still in high school she must have grown up fast huh Mom?" Alejandro replied.
"Yes Hijo in fact she was excited to see you, she is 20 now. Hardly a teenager. You'll be surprised when you see her," Dona Ramona said, eyeing Elena when she said it.
Elena swallowed hard, first Karl, now this Francine. "Hindi kaya siya yong tisay sa bathroom kanina?" Elena silently asked herself. "if sya yon wala nga syang panama sa ganda non!" she mutely said.
She sighed. This night is getting stressful as it progresses.
She was thinking hard when she saw her family approaching them, they were all dressed up now.
She smiled at her mom, Aling Emmanuela and her sister Joanna who both look beautiful in their simple dresses. Daniel and Miguel are equally handsome.
Alejandro saw them and asked them to join their table.
"Tita..hi guys...come. Let me introduce my mother, Mom..sila family ni Elena. Aling Emmanuela my mom, yan sina Joanna, Daniel at Miguel. Mom?" he said asking her to say hello to them.
Dona Ramona was surprised that Elena's family are here if it was a welcome party for her.
"Hello sa inyo, Ramona. The proud mother of Alejandro, kumusta ka Emmanuela?" she asked Elena's mom
And smiled.
Aling Emmanuela smiled in response,"Mabuti naman..nakakahiya naman hindi namin alam na medyo malaking party pala ito," looking at Elena,"Anak okay ka lang ba? Parang maputla ka yata ah," she then said.
Elena forced a smile, Ipapahamak pa yata ako ng sarili kong nanay. "Nay okay Lang ho ako, wag kayong mag-aalala," she said.
