Chapter 69

Alejandro stretches as he adjusted his eyes. He slept really well last night. Although they slept late but he thought he had just enough sleep.

He saw the robe on the floor and picked it up so he can wear it over his nakedness.

He looked around but found Elena nowhere in sight .

He went in the shower to freshen himself up.

When he got out of the bathroom,Elena is still not around.

He went out of the balcony inhaling the fresh smell of the ocean breeze.

"Ahhhhh...this feels good....it's nice to wake up like this...but where can she be?" Alejandro thought.

He started the coffee brewing and looked around.

Then he saw her.

Elena.

She is wearing a white dress with a shawl wrapped around her shoulders, her hair being blown away softly by the wind. She is barefooted walking slowly on the sand, towards where their cottage is.

Alejandro smiled, content at watching her.

She must have had a stroll on the beach, he thought. She should've wakened me up.

Alejandro called out to her as she grew closer, enough for her to hear him.

"Good morning love...." he shouted.

Elena looked up, her face lit up by the sight of him, she smiled and waved at him.

"Good morning! I see you're awake.....why don't you come down so we can have another walk?" she said.

"Ok! Hold on..wait for me there," he said, he prepared two cups of freshly brewed coffee and head down to meet Elena.

He kissed her on her lips gently as he handed her the coffee.

"Here you go beautiful..." he said.

Elena smiled,"Thank you.." she said, even if it was just a quick brush of his lips on hers- it always felt wonderful, she loves the touch of his lips on her- even as gentle as it is.

"I love you Elena..." Alejandro said, as they walked together- on the sand, back to the seashore.

"I want to walk with you everyday, like this- for the rest of our lives Elena- it makes me happy.." he added.

Elena's heart leaped, just hearing him say those things- she didn't know how easily can he make her heart jump for joy, how easy it is for him to make her smile, laugh and feel contented, so this is how it feels like being loved by someone as wonderful as Alejandro, she thought.

"I like this,too...walking with you like this....but if I get tired from walking will you carry me? " she teased.

Alejandro turned to look at her and smiled, his eyes intense, full of love - "Are you kidding? Of course! If you get tired I will carry you....whichever way you want- piggy back, like a baby cradled in my arms....upside down...you choose," he said.

"Hmmmmm I like the idea of being carried like a baby...but the rest sounds appealing to me,too- how about you pick whichever you want..." She said then taking a sip of the coffee.

"That's a better idea....now let's find a place to sit...I want to sit and finish this coffee and watch the waves play..." he said.

"Okay," she nodded as they sat on the sand.

Their shoulders touching, they were both looking out the infinity of the ocean ahead of them.

"This is so peaceful,"Alejandro said.

"Yeah, it is....thank you Alejandro..." Elena said, then she leaned her head on his shoulders.

Alejandro smiled, "I am more thankful, I have never been this happy Elena....thank you.." he said, as he kisses her forehead, then wrapped his left arm around her waist- pressing her closer to him.
