Chapter 40 : "Cloud Nine"

After they cleared everything between them, Alejandro brought Elena home. At the door, he said,"I love you babe, please ask your Mom to allow you to go with me in Cebu okay? I very much want you to meet my Mom," Alejandro pleads.

"Sige sige sasabihin ko kay Nanay pero hindi ako magpa-promise ha? Alam mo namang nagpapagaling pa sya di ba?" Elena said as she caressed Alejandro's face, she was just so happy and still in disbelief that he is her boyfriend already!

Alejandro smiled,"Great, okay hindi na ako papasok ha? Nakakahiya naman sa mga kapatid at nanay mo- email kita mamaya at I will see you tomorrow okay?" as he held on to her hand caressing his face, he took it and kissed it.

He kissed her forehead and bid her goodnight. It was already nine and it was too late for them to get out and have dinner, since Elena still has to go back get dressed again and go with Alejandro they decided to just postpone it for tomorrow.

Alejandro said they can even plan to watch a movie together. Elena waves at him as he started his car waving at her as he drove away.

Elena smiles, still feeling in cloud nine.

When she went inside, Joanna and Miguel were eating snacks. "Mukhang ang saya natin ah, anyareh? Kanina lang hindi maipinta yang mukha mo ngayon naman para kang baliw na nangingiti mag-isa," Joanna said and took a handful of cheez-it in her mouth.

"Wala lang..bawal ba ang ngumiti mag-isa? Syanga pala asan si Daniel, si Nanay tulog na ba?" Elena asks as she sat on the other chair.

"Oo nakatulog na si nanay kakaantay sa sandali lang mo, si Dan maagang natulog masakit daw ulo," Miguel said.

"Sandali lang dapat kaso marami kaming pinag-usapan ni Alejandro eh, pero okay na kami- o bakit baman masakit ang ulo ng batang yon?" Elena asked Joanna and Miguel.

"Ma at pa- ang duda ko may crush crush na kasi yan sa school nya, kausapin mo kaya yan bukas ate, alam mo naman sayo lang yan nagko-confide,"Joanna said, she stood up and stretched.

"O pano magtoothbrush pa ako, tas matutulog na ako, Ate minsan pahiram naman ng ipad mo ha, sozy ka talaga, love na love ka ni Kuya Alejandro ha? At mukhang inlababo ka din masyado- hindi masyado halata,"Joanna teased her giggling.

Elena shook her head and just ignored her teasing, "Okay puede mong hiramin basta ba ingatan mo naku mahal pa naman yon! O sige na ikaw dib Miguel matulog ka na rin, may pasok ka pa bukas, ayokong nali-late kayo lagi ha,"Elena told him, she went to the kitchen and took orange juice and poured herself a glass of it.

"Manonood muna ako ng tv tsaka matutulog na rin ako, ininom ba ng nanay ang mga gamot nya Jo?"Elena asks her sister.

"Yup ate..tsaka nga pala nagtatanong yon si nanay kung saan ka daw kumuha ng malaking halaga para sa operasyon nya, bukas magpaliwanag ka sa husgado hehe,"Joanna teased.

"Oo ako na ang bahala dun..o sige na magtoothbrush ka na, masyadong nangangamoy na yang hininga mo hehe," Elena jokes. She flipped the channels and tuned in to watch a movie.

The one being shown on HBO is Eyes Wide Shut starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, this was the last movie filmed by the now deceased Stanley Kubrick.

She likes Tom Cruise but recently he just divorced Katie Holmes, she thought what is it about these celebrities, they think they can get married and then divorce easily- she thought if she is to get married she will make sure her husband is happy and won't leave her, she will do everything to give him what he wants and what he will be happy and contented with, and she hopes that man will be Alejandro.

Alejandro called her mom as soon as he got to his condo, "Hello Ma..o I will see you soon okay? And I have a surprise for you?"

"Ano naman yan hijo? When are you coming so I can prepare..and can't you tell me now? You know I hate surprises.."

"Don't worry Mom you would like h- it, it will make you happy for sure! It's late Why don't you sleep now okay? I love you.."

"I was trying to when you hastily awakened me and didn't have the decency to tdll me what the surprise is,"

"Ma wag ka ng magtampo ok? Promise, basta you will be happy ok? Now let me go, gotta snooze na rin, bye."

"Ok fine..Bye hijo," her tone was that of disappointment but he knows she won't stay like that.

He took a quick shower and climbed onto his bed, still imagining what happened in the living room with Elena, it was fast but he was happy the way things turned out. He loves her and she loves him, and that's what matters.

He smiled and felt his chest exploding with happiness, he never felt this happy before- it is as if he felt finally complete. Thanks to Elena, he brings out the best in him, and hopefully he brings out the best in her,too.

re the title of the movie- i was thinking of Eyes Wide Shut but Far Away registered as the title hahah..what's your password? (This is a line from the movie..) Lol
